Secluded, Cozy Cottage in the Shenandoah Valley

Escape to our comfortable and well appointed cottage in the mountains. This one bedroom one bath with additional loft is the perfect retreat. The spacious deck is ideal for sipping coffee in the morning, reading and napping in the afternoon and star gazing at night. The property sits on over 90 acres to explore and a hot tub to soak in after. There are beautiful hiking trails a few steps from the cottage and the famous Skyline Drive is just a 20 minute drive away. There are several beautiful wineries a few miles from the cottage. Enjoy the evenings by the fire pit (we have wood available for you). We also have a wood burning fire place for chilly nights and a gas grill for your convenience.
The cottage has free wifi (Starlink!) and a smart TV.
There are 2 towns close by for provisioning, shopping and meals out.
We have a generator that will automatically turn on and power the entire cottage in case there is a power outage.
Peace and quiet with all the comforts of home. Like us, you won’t want to leave.

Please be aware that we do have a security camera located on the upper deck that is pointed at the driveway and one at the entry door.

This is such a beautiful, quaint cottage. Sunrises on the deck were absolutely beautiful with the mountain view. The house was decorated nicely with all the antique touches. It was great to enjoy the hot tub and outdoor fire pit as well.

Very nice quiet cabin in the Shenandoah valley. Perfect location while we were in town for a wedding. The cabin --could-- sleep 4, but be advised the upper bedroom is accessed only w a steep, long ladder. It's not a good sleeping place if you're bringing children. But for the two of us it was perfect.

Everything at this lovely place of peace and serenity was pure perfection. The owners are amazing and went over and beyond to make the stay exceptional. The hot tub was heaven, pure heaven! A real cute place with a cozy layout and amazing bathroom and shower. It was just secluded enough but not overly challenging to get to. The upper porch was great for hanging out and watching the pair of hummingbirds that seem to have made the area home. The bed was comfortable but also a little squeaky and noisy. We really enjoyed our stay and it was just the relaxing getaway we needed.

This property is amazing, the pictures don’t do the house justice. It’s the perfect size for a couples getaway, far enough away from the main house that you don’t see anyone else, and close to plenty of wineries and other area attractions. The wife and I would definitely love to stay here in again in the future.

Great Spot for a Quick Trip

This house is in a great location and has a very peaceful view and feel. Nice and clean and wonderful stay. Would highly recommend to anyone in my circle. I plan to come to this property again!One small issue- the wasps are making homes in the porch furniture and made sitting outside a little intense, they were not aggressive but they were often times resting somewhere they may accidentally get squished/sting you. I am allergic to stings and carry an epi pin. The site forced me to rate the winery experience even though we did not go to a winery.

Wonderful Week Escape

Very happy with this rental. Road and property were easy to find and navigable with our non-4WD. Check in was a breeze and the owner friendly when we met him the last day. We lived in the hot tub and enjoyed not even having to leave the property to find hiking trails. Would stay again when we're next in the area even with the asian lady beetles! (The rating requires something about the winery but we didn't go there.)

A Cozy Mountain Getaway – Perfect in Every Way!

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this charming cabin! Nestled in the serene mountains, it’s the perfect place to unwind and recharge. We loved soaking in the jacuzzi after a day of exploring the area—it was the perfect touch!The host was incredibly responsive and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. We were especially delighted by the homemade cookies that greeted us upon departure—such a thoughtful gesture!Everything about this place was fantastic, from the stunning mountain views to the perfect amenities.
