Does the job on a budget
Booked last minute so chose it because it was a cheaper price to the others. We were initially impressed from the outside. However, when we got to the room it was very compact and within buildings which looked like student accommodation. The toilet still had faeces in, noticeable pubic hairs on the side of the bath, towels hadn’t been replenished and tea making facilities hadn’t been topped up either. Although staff were friendly there needs to be more training in efficiency. We waited at the bar for over 20 minutes while the one bar man couldn’t figure out who was next in a practically empty bar. The next day our breakfast went cold as we waited for the other bits to be topped up and had to keep going up to get bits instead of being able to sit and enjoy our meal. From what we could see there was only one girl bringing one bowl out at a time in a busy dining area. We were almost through our breakfast when we finally managed to get a member of staffs attention for coffee. It has the potential to be a lovely hotel but standards are poor. Only choose for a cheap place to rest your head

Great hotel
Pros:Surrounding grounds, nice for walking
Cons:Room needed a bit of TLC
Shame the accommodation doesn't have the same charm as the historic main building

Beautiful building
Pros:Building is great, location is quiet in the countryside, the outside area is beautiful with the pond... Romantic location.
Cons:There was a wedding, so people were still noisy in the corridors very late in the night.
Decoration of the restaurant is a bit dull (conference centre). Quality of the food was ok and it was frustrating to order without knowing the price of the menu..
Location:35' for Waddesdon Manor, 15' from Bletchley Park... Lots of stuff to do nearby.
