We had a great time at this VRBO! It was exactly as advertised in a convenient location with plenty of space! Our only suggestion would be written instructions for the air conditioning units. We would love to come again!

Our party of 6 adults came to Montréal for the marathon in September. This place appealed because of its in an ideal location, could accommodate all of us, and had such attractive common spaces. We felt safe and comfortable during our stay.

Location great, layout great . Was not clean. Beds smelt like bo. Not washed or changed. Bath tub still had dirty footprints in tub. Gum stuck under counter. Walls had dirty hand prints. Coffee table had ring stains. Floors wete not washed. Deck was full of caked with bird poop and feathets

Spacious & basic

Was a little weary after reading previous reviews.. But when arriving we found it was easy to access the apt, it was nicely spacious for a group and the location is great. Unfortunately both the heat and AC were on and it was not possible to turn the heat off. All automatic window blinds were stuck in the closed position which was odd. Also there were some soiled towel which were concerning. I hope the hosts and VRBO address some of these continued poor reviews for this place because it has lots of potential.

Nice Place

The place was very nice and modern and looked exactly like the pictures. It wasnt located near the main areas of Montreal but it was a quick Uber ride away. We were able to find many good restaurants nearby for dinners and brunch. There were 2 downsides - one was that it was Extremely hard to enter the code at the main door. The actual apartment door was very easy but we would have to try over 7 times before we got the main door opened. The 2nd issue was that there isnt central air in the apartment. There are 2 air conditioner units - one in the main area and one in the master bedroom. This meant that the other 2 bedrooms were hot during the night.

Girls trip to Montreal

Lack of communication with property manager. I was not able to enter the property on the first day and tried to call for help but no one picked up. Had to stay in a hotel that I found myself because vrbo couldn’t book one for me due to computer issues. The bathrooms was dirty and the ac didn’t work well in two of the rooms. Tried to get issues resolved but no response from property manager. Tried to get a refund for first night but was unsuccessful! The place is in a great location. Just wish it was managed better.

Stay far away from this place! Dirty and host unresponsive

The condition of this unit presented a safety hazard! To start, we were given the apartment door entry code one hour after we were to check into the unit and the code did not work so had to wait another 15 minutes to get a code that opened the door . There is no house book with instructions about the house or neighborhood. Most of the mechanical shades were not operational because they had not been charged. The heater was on and we had no instructions on how to turn it off. The air conditioner in the bedroom was not working. The owner sent someone to repair it the next day which was the only good thing that happened in this place. The apartment had not been cleaned. We found a bag of rotting onions in a drawer and several opened packages of food in the cupboards. The bathroom had hair and dirt in the tub. We found hair on some of the bath towels . The bathroom rug in the master bedroom was water logged. Water was dripping from the ceiling from the unit above- there is a hole in the ceiling , paint and plaster falling down on the floor and onto the toilet seat. There is a potential of mold in the walls which could cause damage to the electrical circuitry and with the large amount of water on the floor someone could slip and hurt themselves. The teapot and two kitchen pots had mold spots in them. There was a used Covid mask found drawers.The inside of the microwave was dirty with food particles on the back wall of the unit. There is much more

Mediocre Experience

Upon our arrival, the place appeared to be just as we expected and very modern. When we first got there, the unit had a Unit 1 parking space, but we were never informed if we could use it, and the host did not answer the whole trip so we had to pay for street parking. Once inside and looking closer, we found that the bathrooms and bedroom linens were not clean and we had to do it ourselves. This uncleanliness included hair in the tub and makeup on the comforters. In the kitchen, there was old food in the fridge and freezer, which were perishables, and food left in the sink strainer, also not cleaned out. Also, in the drawer in the kitchen there was a bag of onions, which will smell if not taken care of. We felt in fairness we should contact the host, but starting on the day before our visit and all throughout our weekend stay, he was unreachable and did not answer us once. When charged a cleaning fee, you expect the place to be clean. The AC and shades were unable to be used due to dead remotes throughout the apartment, and once again we were unable to contact the host for a solution. We have stayed at other VRBOs and have never had this issue. I really wanted to give the place 5 stars because of its location and appearance, but the amount of effort put into making our stay as wonderful as we expected was not there.
