Welcome to Wold House, a wonderfully unique 18th-century cottage in Bourton-on-the-Hill, only a short distance from Moreton-in-Marsh.
Wold House is full of traditional Cotswolds character, with exposed beams and beautiful Cotswold stone as an internal feature. The cottage is set across three floors, with a delightful barn annex only metres away down the garden path.
Wold House comfortably sleeps 5 guests, with a super-king size bed, king size bed and large comfy sofabed available on request.
Wold House is a traditional Cotswolds cottage, with a twist! The main house is set across three floors, with a gorgeous barn annex only metres away providing a separate living and sleeping space. The property comfortably sleeps 5 across the two spaces, and is perfect for two couples or families with older children.
The cottage and barn have been upgraded, carefully balancing original features with a modern contemporary feel, to maximise guests’ experience. There is also a private garden and parking to the rear.
Guests can enter the main house from the front or the rear. Both entrances will take you into the tasteful kitchen and dining area, providing plenty of space to cook and socialise. The kitchen has been modernised and comes fully equipped, with dishwasher, oven, gas hob, microwave and Nespresso compatible coffee machine. The dining area offers plenty of space for five and has a working wood burner to complete the cosy Cotswolds feel!
On the first floor you will find the living room, with comfy sofa and large smart TV. (Note the glass flooring, looking down to the kitchen area!) The sofa converts to a large sofa bed, which is available on request at time of booking, to ensure bedding is provided in plenty of time:)
Heading out the back door and down the garden path, guests will find the separate barn. It is an amazing space consisting of a downstairs living area with large sofa, smart TV and a working overhead projector. Upstairs there is the bedroom, with king size bed and ensuite WC. Please note the staircase is a little narrow and windy, so not suitable for all.
All bedding come with hotel quality crisp cotton sheets, fluffy towels for each guest and complementary toiletries.
The private garden has a grass and patio area, with garden furniture, perfect for an evening drink.
There is private parking to the rear of the property for 1 car (space unallocated).
In addition, the property has a separate utility room with washing machine and dryer that guests have access to, which is located next to the barn.
Well behaved pets are allowed on request (max 2). Please give details, when making your booking, to enable us to determine if they are suitable for the property. There is an additional fee of £30 per booking.
Cot & high chair are available if requested for additional £15 per item or £25 for both. (Please note, no linen is supplied with the travel cot).
As this is a traditional Cotswold cottage, there are some low beams and steep stairs, so please be careful.
Please no smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property.
CHECK IN
Check in time is from 3pm but we will try to let you get into the cottage sooner, if requested. It just depends if we have guests staying the night before.

Check out is 10am, so we can get the property ready for our next guests.
Guests will have exclusive access to the main cottage and barn, as well the private garden.

Superhog). Upon confirming your booking, Truvi will contact the lead booker via a secure link, providing detailed instructions for the verification process.
The online verification requires a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card. During this process, you may choose between a refundable GBP 500 deposit (plus GBP 10 transaction fee currency equivalent) or purchase a non-refundable damage waiver of GBP 40 (currency equivalent) to cover potential damages during your stay.
Once the verification process is successfully completed, check-in information will be provided. If you opted in for a deposit, this will be refunded via credit/debit card after your stay, subject to an inspection of the property.
