Welcome to Shasta Harmony! if you want a vacation stay in the perfect cottage, this is it!! right in town, stunning Mt Shasta Views and all brand new interior!!! There are four vacation rentals in Chestnut Village. Shasta Harmony enjoys it's own private deck and fenced yard space. pet friendly.
New Kitchen, new bathroom, new flooring, new furniture, paint, new windows, all new decor. Modern Farmhouse decor. its gorgeous!!!
. It is quiet and has a wonderful deck in back with incredible Mt Shasta views!. There is a crystal/rock shop next door with another vacation rental above it. This makes it handy for larger groups to rent both spaces...that unit is called "Shasta Star". two dogs are permitted with $40 pet fee per dog.
The location makes it perfect to walk everywhere in town quiet easily.
There is a Fabulous Supermarket across the street with BBQ, sammies, wine, gourmet items, vegies. Walk to shops, restaurants, big sunroom in front, wonderful patio with BBQ in back with Mt Shasta Views.
There are about six stairs leading to front door of Shasta Harmony and no stairs within the cottage.
There is a bright small sunroom as you walk with in the front door with a wicker table and two wicker chairs. Pull down bamboo shades give privacy.
The living room is comfortable with a sofa sleeper queen. All bedding for the sofa sleeper is provided. It has a blow up mattress with electric blow machine. Flat screen tv with satellite DISH programming package and strong internet.
The kitchen is sunny with big Mt Shasta views from the kitchen window. There is an eating bar with four bar stools. The kitchen is stocked with all cook ware, utensils, glassware, including bar ware, placemats, and dish towels. Also paper towels and napkins. Keurig coffee maker, regular coffee maker, bakeware, salad bowl, bowls, baking sheets, hand mixer, microwave, full oven, rice maker, toaster, plates and bowls, bread maker. All plates and dishes. Also bowls, strainer, can opener, wine opener.dishwasher. Ice cube trays. Regular sized fridge with freezer. There are basic herbs and spices and I include some coffee, creamer and Splenda. Teas also. There is foil, Saran Wrap, zip locks and dish soap, garbage bags for trash.
The queen beds are all new with high quality bedding. Each have 3" memory foam toppers, comforters and down feather pillows among regular pillows. They are super comfortable!!! Each bedroom has a large dresser and one bedroom has a closet.
All new quality thick Egyptian cotton bath towels. Bathroom has blow dryer, curling iron and iron. shower only. Shampoos, soap and lotions are provided.
There is a shared laundry room with washer and dryer with laundry soap and fabric sheets provided.
The rear deck is wonderful with stunning views of Mt Shasta. There is a patio table set with umbrella and four chairs. Gas BBQ. Two additional chairs for relaxing. Twinkle lights in the trees, professionally landscaped with dry river rock creek bed and lots of flowers. Plenty of grass in the very large shared yard. Please keep pooches on leashes even tho the property is fenced.
Parking is in front on the street. While Mt Shasta is relative safe, please lock your car and bring valuables inside.
Smoking isn't permitted inside but you make smoke outside on deck area.
As a courtesy.250.00USD fee will apply to rooms where smoking of cigarettes, cigars, cannabis, vaping or other is detected. A cleaning fee may also apply if home is unusable due to excessive pet odors/damage. Pets are not allowed on the furniture or beds, extra fees will apply if pet hair is found on furniture or bedding. Pets are not allowed to be left alone in the home. Guest will be charged extra if they do not clean up outside after their pets!!

Loved the place

We loved everything about the place. The location was great!! The place was clean and cozy. Our only draw back was that we didn’t receive the notice about the snow tow and our car got towed. But the owners refunded us for the charges right away. I would definitely a stay here again!!

The unit was perfect for me, my husband, and adult son for a 2-night stay. I liked the way the kitchen was set up with the counter that would seat 4 comfortably. The location was walking distance to multiple restaurants and a grocery store. It was clean and modern with cute decorations.

Relaxing getaway

Kitchen is well stocked, even had a toaster oven & electric water heater. Hot tub is worth the extra $35. Give the heater a few minutes to warm up ( it's small but very efficient).

We loved everything about this property. We did have something come up, and we were unable to reach the owners to get it resolved. We texted the number they gave us, and we emailed them. Beside that lack of communication, we loved everything about the property and our stay.

Beautiful Mt Shasta views

Great location, one street away from the main part of town. Two bedroom place with a lovely kitchen. Nice breeze from open windows. Top lock (bolt-outside door) does not slot into door frame, so only able to lock doors from the bottom handles. Shower door makes a TERRIBLE shrieking sound when the plastic slides across the glass door as you close it. The plastic is there to prevent water from escaping, but it is not effective. Unclear as to where to park overnight, street signs say no parking from 2-6 am in front of rental. No communication from management. The City of Mt Shasta is a great jumping off point for many activities in the area. Try to visit Burney Falls (about an hour to the SE) if you are able. Amazing.

Great little place!

The place had everything we needed and was dog friendly - downtown location and a small background - house was newly remodeled and clean! John, the owner was great and brought us a cooler when the power was out! Online correspondence was not always fast via VRBO app, but would definitely stay here again!

The beds were incredibly hard and uncomfortable. The shower door makes an insane screeching noise to close it. Was a little hard hot in the bedrooms since the AC is in the living space but a fan and leaving the door open sufficed for the short time we were there. Other than those things the place was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed.

Absolutely loved our stay!

We absolutely loved our stay and if we ever come up again we would def rent here again...However I have two things that I would recommend, the beds are extremely hard and would say possibly change at least one mattress to a softer one. And possibly putting some sort of privacy when in the hot tub. The view from it is absolutely amazing tho! We loved our stay this home is perfect! Thank you

Lovely vacation home

I took my elderly father for a short vacation and this two bedroom rental was perfect for us. The place was very clean, beautifully decorated and walking distance to the main street in town. The only issue we had was a problem with the TV remote disconnecting from the TV but the property manager contacted the owner and the issue was addressed promptly. We really enjoyed our stay.

Nice little place

The owner met us as we arrived and showed us around. He realized the TV wasn’t working properly and got that promptly adjusted. He also put out a table and chairs in the backyard for our use. The hot tub and the kitchen were both clean and ready to go. The unit was within walking distance of all the local shops and restaurants. We could see the mountain from the kitchen and bedroom windows. The area was very safe and the locals were friendly. My son was sleeping on the sofa, and it was a little short for a full grown adult. The home was newly remodeled, but there was clutter in the decorating. That’s just my personal taste, though. I like homes to be pretty stripped down with mostly empty drawers, closets, etc. to make room for the items I’ve brought along.

Mt. Shasta 2021 Thanksgiving

Property was nice. While there the owners never responded to questions - TV messed up.... Space heater couldn't regulate - had to keep the place opened up to cool it down. Hot tub was nice to hop in after a couple days of hiking. Close to downtown. Enjoyed the Christmas Parade and tree lighting - unexpected and cute. Mt. Shasta grocery was cool with the grilling of meats over an oak filled pit.... tasted great. Overall best place yet we have stayed in Mt. Shasta.
