I am all about fair reviews & giving people a chance. The check-in info took us to a tube stop 15 min walk away, Franz Joseph is a 2 min walk. On arrival we called to see if there was somewhere to store luggage, the host said he would call us back but never did. We returned at 4pm. The pin code to the door did not work. Access gained at 4:35pm after several calls to Agent. Apartment, stunning, modern, clean. Ready to relax. First day we were subjected to base of loud music it went on past midnight. Second night the same noise until 2am. At this point we reported it. We were advised that we must be hearing base from the music hall below. We investigated & yes the 3 bedrooms are above music booths which can be used anytime day/night. We were unlucky enough to have drum practice for our entire stay. The shop next door takes deliveries between 6/7am some weekdays & major construction opposite from 7am was the icing on the cake. Agent was responsive to start with but became defensive offering to move us to the mountains at 10pm the eve before our last full day as they could not control one million people in the city. The location of the apartment apart from the music hall is very quiet at night & you may be lucky not to get noise at all. Were we just unlucky, possibly but the music venue should be disclosed under VRBO regs. We are still waiting for appropriate compensation. VRBO have been unable to reach the host.
