This property offers a spectacular ocean view. Checking in was not difficult. After that, things go downhill fast. The condo had either not been cleaned at all or was superficially cleaned at best. There was dirt on the floors, mold in the bathrooms, food scraps in the fridge, and missing tile in front of the fridge has been covered by a filthy door mat? We reported most of the defects when we arrived. (Some we found later and declined to report since our first report was met with, “Thank you for reporting this, I will make a note of it.” Prior to arriving I had contacted the host to ask several questions, one of which was, “Is there a Keurig-type coffee maker?” I was told there wasn’t so we planned and brought with us a pound of regular coffee. Turns out there was a Keurg coffee make AND a regular coffee maker. On the surface that sounds great. In reality, the misinformation messed up our prep. Near the end of our visit, an access panel in the shower fell to the floor while we were out of the condo. I reported that and was advised maintenance would take care of it. It wasn’t a huge inconvenience since it didn’t fall on us while taking a shower but does show a lack of attention to detail. In general, the unit is old, worn, damaged in places, and not really ready for “prime time.” The price was OK (lower than other units) but there is a condition level below which no price is worthwhile. This unit comes close to that condition.
