Naxos at its best!
We love Mikri Viglia, and this house brings out the best of it! For all travallers loving a layed back atmosphere with outstanding kitesurfing opportunities, beaches with cristal clear water, and an easy life within walking distance, this house should be your choice!
The house is located within walking distance to all you need - shops, bakery, 2 beaches, tavernas. One does need a car to go around the island- which is totally worth the trip, in particular Naxos town, Chalki and Apiranthos.
We loved the shelter near the pool, and enjoyed it mostly over lunch time when the heat was biggest. As we were there during the heat wave, we had to use the AC during the night. In less hot times, the house is built in a way that the air current through the house will sufficiantly cool it. Perfectly equipped kitchen, large fridge. Great views from balcony of main floor, only topped by upper floor terrace. If you also want to use the upper floor (1 bedroom, one bath, kitchen with sitting area and lovely terrace, but no internal connection to main floor and downstairs bedrooms), make sure the manager realises that. In our case, the upper floor was not made ready for us (party of 4, with enough room in the main house). We still used the terrace for sundowners. All bedrooms of the main house are in the basement (3 doubles, 1 single), and there is one large bath for all rooms. So easy for a family, but a group of couples with more need for privacy, you might want to also use the upper floor (see above).
Communication and contact with Angelos, the manager, was quick and easy, and he even brouhgt us some fresh fish! He was very helpful with transfer from and to airport / port, and car rental through him was uncomplicated.
Overall, highly recommended, and we would love to come back!
