Very pleasant hotel

We were quite pleasantly surprised by National Abbey Spa Hotel. The kids had a separate room; we had vet comfortable accommodations, and our room was very quiet, despite the presence of a large wedding party. The restaurant food was good, and the bar was lovely, old-fashioned European style, with plenty of tables of varying sizes, for intimate conversations or larger parties. All in all, a delightful stay.

Great Family Room!

Pros: An enjoyable stay from start to finish
Location: Located just at the start of Nenagh - lots of pubs and eateries nearly. There is also a Lidl next door in case you've forgotten anything!
We stayed for just one night while visiting friends in Nenagh. The staff were lovely and welcoming at check in and we went straight to our room. As a family with two small children (3 & 6) it was lovely to have the kids beds in a separate room adjoining ours so we had a tiny bit of privacy! We immediately went down to use the swimming pool and the kids really enjoyed the smaller pool. We all slept very comfortably in the beds and there were lots and lots of white fluffy towels for showers the next morning. Breakfast was buffet style and had a great range. The scrambled eggs in particular were piping hot and a hit with the kids. I'd definitely recommend the hotel for a family. We'll be coming back.
