Auf dem Gipfel eines Hügels mit Blick auf den 8th Crow Wing Lake gelegen, ist die Aussicht atemberaubend, friedlich und ideal für Vogelliebhaber, um die Natur in Aktion zu beobachten. Dank der großen Fenster in jedem Raum können Sie den Außenbereich mit dem lichtdurchfluteten Komfort des Innenbereichs genießen. Oder setzen Sie sich auf das große Deck und lauschen Sie dem Summen von Motorbooten, loon calls und vorbeiziehenden Kolibris. Sie fühlen sich erfrischt, sobald Sie die Tür dieser beliebten Hütte betreten.

Das Anwesen hat viel zu bieten. Wenn ein Nachbar durch einen Wald getrennt ist, werden Sie sich zurückgezogen und von allem fern fühlen. Ein gewundener Kieselweg führt Sie hinunter zum See, wo Sie einen großen Steg zum Schwimmen, Angeln oder einfach nur bei einer Tasse Kaffee oder einem Glas Wein finden. Auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite des Sees befindet sich eine öffentliche Bootsanlegestelle. Sie können sich auch gerne am Dock festmachen. Wenn Sie wieder auf den Hügel zurückkehren, können Sie die große Feuerstelle und die Gartenaktivitäten nutzen, z. B. das Werfen von Taschen (Spiele werden gestellt).

Bringen Sie Ihre Fahrräder mit und erkunden Sie den Heartland Trail. Unsere Lieblingstour führt von Akley nach Walker, es ist ein wunderschöner Streckenabschnitt, und Walker hat eine Innenstadt mit vielen Geschäften und Parks, die Spaß machen, sie zu erkunden. Ein weiterer großartiger Tagesausflug führt Sie nach Nevis. Lovely Cabin in Nevis

We had a wonderful Forth of July vacation here. The home was so comfortable and had such beautiful views from the deck. We enjoyed many evenings with our pups outside. This home is close to Dorset and Park Rapids for fun places to grab a bite. Thank you so much for your hospitality. We hope to come back again.

Annual Summer Get-away

As always, the cabin was perfect for our summer family get-away. The cabin was clean inside and out, the hosts provided excellent instructions and local suggestions. Although the weather wasn't ideal, we were still able to enjoy sunsets on the dock and even did a little swimming. Thanks to the puzzles, books and games provided by the hosts, we had plenty to do inside as well. We are looking forward to going back again next year!

We rented the cabin for our annual ladies weekend. There was plenty of space for the four of us to relax, craft, watch movies, play card games, and cook meals together. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and we enjoyed eating out on the deck every day. The bathroom is redone beautifully and has lots of shelf space and hooks for multiple people to keep things organized. The beds were comfortable and we liked having places to hang our clothes. We were there without kids, but being moms, we all loved the cute little additions for children from the adorable loft area to the Tripp Trapp high chair to the basket of coloring books and shelf of games. The outdoors is private and beautiful. We did some photos together with the mossy steps and the trees starting to show some fall colors. Thanks for the lovely stay!

Perfect get-away for a small group

Loved the place, the location and everything about the cabin. It was well appointed - simple modern furnishings. Great instructions, guide and checklist from the owner including places to eat and visit. Positives: Plenty of towels, games, chairs, pillows, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, etc. Huge windows Great deck Kayaks Dock we were able to tie up rental pontoon to (Wheeler Marine was great) Nice furniture Comfortable mattress - although the others say the mattresses were too firm for them. Considerations: One bathroom - which we knew and it was fine but there is not a fan.... Dishwasher is in an odd spot and makes it hard to put dishes away directly from the dishwasher - but there is a dishwasher!!! The walk down to the lake has a lot of steps and a river rock path that some may have trouble with. We loved it. We will come back. Thank you for sharing this awesome place.

Treehouse Cabin

We had a lovely stay at this cabin. Our family of four including two sons and my parents enjoyed a week at this cabin August 2018. The cabin was just as great as I was hoping it would be. Everything was true to the pictures online, if not better in person. Our sons just loved the lower level including the bunkbeds and foosball table. Everything was clean and tidy when we arrived. We enjoyed reading books and watching movies in the living room. The weather was a bit cooler and rainy than most Augusts, but I will say that made for the best napping in the Sunset Room. The mattresses and pillows were super comfortable. We also enjoyed the view of the lake from the cabin. Our sons enjoyed fishing off the dock. Kayaking was also fun for our sons who got to try it out for the first time ever. We saw and heard loon calls while on the lake, as well as from the cabin. The cabin was close to Park Rapids and Walker which made for fun day trips and shopping with my mom. The owners have a great little book at the cabin with recommendations for activities, restaurants and bike trails. We very much enjoyed staying at this cabin and hope to stay there again soon.

Wonderful Lake Escape

We rented this cabin July 2017. The cabin had been newly renovated, and was a wonderful place to spend our vacation. Beautiful views of the lake, and sunsets were fantastic. Facilities are perfect, and very good quality. Furniture in the cabin was comfortable and in great shape. Cooking facilities were great, with a nice complement of pots/pans/utensils. Beds were very comfortable, and offered great support. It was nice having the lower level family room as additional living space. Laundry (including laundry soap and dryer sheets) being available right at the cabin made life very easy. Gas grill worked great. We appreciated having the kayaks available for our use. The lake is quite a few steps down the hill, though very doable with a nice stairway, but be ready to make that walk each day/time you want to access the lake; we learned "early on" to take most everything we needed with us on our way down the "first" time. The lake was very clean, and great for swimming and boating. (We don't fish, so we cannot attest to the quality of the fishing, but we saw lots of others doing so.) We canoe a lot (we brought our own), and appreciated having access to other Crow Wing Lakes (9th & 10th) simply by canoeing through the small river connecting the upper lakes. Though we didn't use the cable TV often, we appreciated having it available if we wanted to check the news. Netflix was a nice addition, especially for rainy days or late nights. Internet access was good. Ceiling fans in every room kept the cabin cool and comfortable. Also, proximity to Park Rapids (15 miles), Walker (20 miles), and the Heartland Trail (access in Nevis only 3 miles away) was wonderful for biking, walking, and dining options. Owner and property managers were very accessible with any of our concerns, and were very easy to deal with. We would definitely rent this cabin again.

A True Vacation

We just loved our time at this cabin. So much so, we wanted to stay longer. Lots of windows to see the beauty of Autumn's colored leaves all around. We slept well on comfortable mattresses. It was fun cooking in the kitchen with its many utensils, pots, pans, spices etc. A true vacation!

Restful and spectacular view

The cabin is nestled in a forest of trees. We felt like we were in a magical tree house, high above the lake. Everything in the cabin met our needs. The large windows in all the rooms, the deck surrounding 3/4ths of the cabin allowed us to commune with nature all the time! The only drawback was the long and steep path to the lake. There were no handrails , so we were unable to access the lake. We are seniors, so needed to stay up at the cabin and just view the lake from a distance.

Lovely Cabin

This cabin is beautiful and the most comfortable rental we have experienced. It was exceptionally clean and well organized. We really enjoyed the grill and kitchen, cooking all of our meals rather than going out. The deck and patio furniture were very appreciated. We loved the view and being in the trees. The sunsets were breathtaking! Loved the kayaks and games and foosball table! Streamed a movie in the evening from Netflix or Prime. Beds, linens and towels are high quality and very appreciated! Cabin is beautiful. Modern - yet feels like a cabin. Kitchen had everything we needed. Supplied information on how to use remotes along with fun things to do in the area. Lots of steps to the lake. The lake is clear - not muddy looking. Fun to kayak to the different lakes. If you like to fish - Lots of sunfish Beautiful sunsets

Quiet and relaxing

Excellent experience - we enjoyed the beautiful lake and tree views from the spacious deck and many windows. The lake is quiet with loon calls being the loudest activity, just the way we like it. The cabin is nicely designed and stocked with amenities. Very comfortable newer foam bed, which is rare! Stonework in shower, woodwork throughout, comfortable furniture, updated electronics with streaming services and newer appliances helped us enjoy our stay. Being it was MN in May, we had a few chilly days and nights and easily stayed warm with a touch of heat. A couple days were warmer with bright sun, and the cabin cooled off nicely with a few windows open. Great rec room downstairs with darts and games. We loved the fire pit, grill and just sitting on the dock. Wish the water had warmed up, as we would have enjoyed the kayaks, but it was a late spring. Maybe next time!

Quiet Lakehouse

We enjoyed the remoteness of this cabin from a big city or busy neighborhood. House was clean and offered a lot of activities to keep renters entertained. We took advantage of the two kayaks the most!
