Welcome to one of the best spots to start your New Orleans adventure! Located directly behind the historic Saenger Theater, our building is on the northern border of the French Quarter, less than a block from Canal Street. We`re three blocks from Bourbon Street; less than a mile from Jackson Square, Café Du Monde, and the River Walk; and a 15-minute walk to the Superdome & Smoothie King Center. There`s also a streetcar stop at the end of the block for easy access to other parts of the city!

Step inside The Schaeffer, located in New Orleans’ historic French Quarter. Blending classic NOLA charm with contemporary design, the space features exposed brick, warm wooden beams, and stylish décor.

Guests love the rooftop terrace with outdoor pool (open 8AM to 8PM), offering skyline views with just a short elevator ride. Our location truly can’t be beat! Located in the heart of the city, you’ll be steps away from countless restaurants, bars, cultural landmarks, and the best the Crescent City has to offer. We’re also about a block away from several streetcar stops, a perfect way to get around the city without worrying about bringing a vehicle and parking!

With thoughtful amenities and an unbeatable location right next door to the Saenger Theatre, this is the perfect home base for exploring The Big Easy! The Dovetail Bar is located in the lobby, offering coffees and pastries in the mornings and the perfect place for a nightcap or a quick drink before a night out on the town.

Our apartment features two bedrooms, one with an ensuite bathroom, while the other bedroom has access to the common bathroom in the unit`s hallway. There is also a bonus room with sofa couch available. All apartments have a full kitchen with a washer/dryer, microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator, oven, and dishwasher. There are no closets or dressers in the rooms, but there are wall hooks and hangers in each of them for storing your clothing (see photos for more details).

Our rooftop terrace features lounge chairs and a small pool. The pool is not suitable for swimming, it’s set up as a place to sit and soak and enjoy city views. THE POOL IS NOT HEATED, so it will not be suitable for use during the cooler months. We provide pool towels for guests to use.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING NOTES BEFORE BOOKING!:

There is NO FREE PARKING nearby or onsite. You can sometimes find paid street parking in the area, though it is limited to two hours during the day, but free from 8PM to 8AM and on Sundays. There is a paid parking garage across the street, which is usually $30-$40/day, though rates may vary.

Our property is located in the heart of the city, on the edge of the French Quarter and just behind Canal Street. The area around the hotel is LOUD on busy nights, with the sounds of people and vehicles heard inside the building, especially on weekends. We provide sound machines in each of the bedrooms to counteract this, but the sounds of the city are an inevitable part of our location.

Our building is a historic property, and features its original wood floors, which creak. You WILL be able to hear your neighbors as they walk around, though we do enforce quiet hours from 9PM to 7AM and have noise sensors in each of the apartments to monitor for excessive volume. Please be respectful of your neighbors. ABSOLUTELY NO PARTIES will be tolerated, and any violations will result in termination of your reservation without a refund.

There is no smoking or vaping on the property whatsoever. This includes inside the rooms and building, as well as on the rooftop terrace and the pool. Violations will result in a $500 cleaning fee and termination of your reservation without a refund. We’re VERY SERIOUS about this.

We unfortunately cannot offer luggage storage before or after your stay due to space limitations, but we recommend using Bounce, a luggage storage service, for any needs you may have. There are a handful of locations 2-4 blocks from the building, and pricing and hours vary by location.

We do not offer daily housekeeping in the rooms. Cleanings are only performed before and after a stay. You can use the washer and dryer in your room to refresh any towels or linens as needed - we provide detergent pods.

Our property features electronic keypads/locks at all entrances and for the guest rooms. You’ll be provided with a unique code ahead of your arrival that will grant you access to all areas during your stay. You’ll also have access to the rooftop pool and terrace, open daily from 8AM-8PM.

We’re available onsite to assist you with any needs you may have, and you can also reach us through messaging in the app where you made your reservation, or texting/calling us any time, 24 hours a day.

Located at the edge of the French Quarter and steps from the Central Business District, this apartment sits in one of New Orleans’ most walkable, culture-rich areas. You’re moments from Bourbon Street, Saenger Theatre, Louis Armstrong Park, and some of the city’s best dining, music, and history.

Streetcar Access:
The nearest streetcar is the Rampart–St. Claude Line, with the Canal Street & N Rampart stop just a 2-minute walk away, making it easy to explore the French Quarter, Marigny, and Bywater without a car.

Download the Jazzy App: New Orleans’ public transit is easy to use with the Le Pass app (the official RTA/Jazzy app). Download it to buy digital passes for streetcars and buses right on your phone. Choose a 1-day or multi-day Jazzy Pass for unlimited rides. When boarding, simply activate your pass and show it to the driver or conductor. Streetcars are a fun, affordable way to explore the city.

Again, there is NO FREE PARKING available at the property or nearby. Paid parking lots and garages are available next door and across the street, but we assume no responsibility for any damages/theft that may occur if you choose to bring a vehicle and use these services.

New Orleans is prone to hurricanes and other storms, sometimes outside of the normal season. Please note that we do not move, cancel, or provide refunds or credits for any reason, including COVID, road conditions/closures, travel cancellations, and weather conditions. If you think you may need to cancel for any reason, we HIGHLY SUGGEST that you purchase trip insurance or book closer to your travel dates.

Noise monitors are present in all units. These monitor decibel levels and are not capable of recording any audio. This is to ensure the comfort of all guests at the property. Automated messages will be sent to guests if noise inside the unit exceeds thresholds.

There are exterior cameras around the building and cameras in all common areas of the building that record at all times.

This location is above a bar + cafe called Dovetail Bar. It is lively at night along with the neighboring areas.

2. Please be mindful of the neighbors sleeping. We enforce quiet hours from 9PM to 7AM.

3. While early check-in / late checkout may be available, this must be arranged ahead of time for an extra fee. Unauthorized Late checkouts are a $50 charge for each hour after 11am - a 15 minute grace period is given. Late checkouts MUST be requested before 9PM the day before your departure.

4.Clean towels are a provided amenity. Each guest listed on your reservation will receive 1 set of towels for their stay (bath towel, hand towel, wash cloth, makeup towel). We are unable to fulfill requests for additional towels during the duration of your stay. There is a washer/dryer available in the unit should you need to refresh your towels during your stay.
