The Toussaint house is centrally located in the Midcity neighborhood of New Orleans. A culturally rich, colorful and diverse community. Wake up and enjoy breakfast at the Ruby Slipper Popular eatery serving up generous plates of classic breakfast & lunch eats in a homey atmosphere or stop quick and get a iced latte at Coffee science, just a 2 minute walk off the porch. Close to City Park to exercise or visit the New Orleans Botanical Garden, Carousel Gardens Amusement Park, with its antique wooden carousel, and the New Orleans Museum of Art, home to an eclectic global collection and a sculpture garden. Eat dinner at 1 of 3 locally owned delicious restaurants Neyow’s Creole cafe, Soule Cafe and Fharmacy. There’s also a Wholefoods markets .5 mi away. Ready to party, head downtown on canal st. and enjoy beignets and catch lots of beads on Bourbon st. Or if you’re lucky enough to visit on Fat Tuesday during Mardi Gras, grab a drink and walk 10 blocks to the Zulu Social Aid and Pleasure Club. Sunlight pours through tall windows into a Mid-City home that has been carefully brought back to life - exposed brick anchors each room while warm, updated interiors make the whole place feel genuinely lived-in. This is a New Orleans home that earns its character rather than performing it, sitting at the edge of a neighborhood where corner cafés, Trader Joe's, and City Park are all within easy reach on foot.

Sleeping arrangements
Three bedrooms sleep up to six guests across four beds, each dressed in crisp linens with room-darkening shades to keep mornings on your schedule. Ample clothing storage, extra pillows and blankets, and hangers are provided throughout, so settling in feels effortless from the first night.

Kitchen & dining
The full kitchen is equipped for everything from a quick breakfast to a proper group dinner - refrigerator, freezer, stove, oven, microwave, and dishwasher are all here, along with cooking basics (pots, pans, oil, salt and pepper), dishes and silverware, a hot water kettle, coffee maker, coffee, and wine glasses. Whether you're meal-prepping before a festival day or winding down with a glass of wine after one, the kitchen has you covered.

Living space
The living area carries the home's original character through exposed brick and easy, comfortable seating. An HDTV with Hulu, HBO Max, Netflix, and Amazon Prime Video gives you plenty of options for low-key evenings in.

Outdoor living
A covered deck off the back of the home is set up with seating and a cornhole set - a natural gathering spot as the day cools down. Free street parking is available nearby for guests arriving by car.

Bathrooms & laundry
Two full bathrooms are stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and cleaning products, with a bathtub and hair dryer in place. An in-unit washer and dryer means you can pack light and stay as long as you like.

Family & accessibility
Traveling with children is straightforward here - a pack 'n play/travel crib, high chair, and babysitter recommendations are all available. The single-level layout means no stairs, and self check-in via smart lock makes arrival simple at any hour.

Neighborhood
Mid-City sits 1.2 miles from the French Quarter and puts City Park, local cafés, markets, and Trader Joe's within walking distance. The area pulses during Mardi Gras Endymion festivities, Sugar Bowl events, and the city's calendar of seasonal festivals - and quiets down into a genuinely residential rhythm in between.
