Top Lage!

Das Apartment hat eine super Lage in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Central Park und zur Subway Station. Mit der dort fahrenden Linie kommt man zu fast allen Sehenswürdigkeiten hin ohne umzusteigen. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war super. Der Check in und check out absolut unkompliziert. Das Apartment ist leicht in die Jahre gekommen, aber absolut funktional. Lediglich die 55 Stufen zum Apartment waren mit Kleinkind eine kleine Herausforderung. Alles in allem aber absolut empfehlenswert!

Perfect location

We enjoyed our stay in this apartment very much, although there were some weak points. First: the location. It's perfect, Central Park is mere seconds away and there is a subway stop just down the street. And it is very quiet.The downside: the house is quite old and there hasn't been done much. The bathtub needs changing and we could switch on the light with the hairdryer. That's why I would give three points for the apartment itself. However, the contact with the owner was very good from the beginning. He always replied immediately to every query we had and tried to help. Thank you for that. All in all, compared to a stay at a hotel this is good value for less money.

Great location next to Central Park and the subway. Dov is a great host and very responsive. We enjoyed our stay. We had a couple issues with the bedroom door knob locking and smoke detector needing replaced but messaged Dov and had these fixed.

Super localisation

Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable notamment grâce à la localisation juste extra de l'appartement de Dov . En effet nous ne pensions pas être si proche du métro et de Central Park. Dov est très réactif pour répondre . Il manque des petites cuillères et une passoire pour faciliter les choses . Merci Dov pour cette semaine extraordinaire

Zona privilegiada

A 2 minutos de central Park y del metro. Zona muy tranquila, descanso infinito del ruido de Manhattan. Supermercados 24h a 5 minutos. Estuvimos con 2 niños, perfecto para viajar con ellos. DOV muy atento y rápido en contestar ante cualquier consulta. No tenemos dudas que cuando volvamos a NY intentaremos alojarnos en el mismo apartamento.

Perfect location

Perfect Location. Apartment is functional but tired. The sofa bed is uncomfortable- we slept the wrong way around as the slope on it was too great. Bathroom very tired - unable to use the bath - can’t use a plug in the bath. No ventilation in the apartment. No exhaust fan in the kitchen. There are 55 steps. Main bedroom was perfect. Location was wonderful. Great to be able to cook. We had a wonderful stay.

Great location to access the tourist attractions. Very reasonably priced.

The apartment is in a great location to access the subway and go for walks in Central Park. My friend and I also appreciated that we each had our own space...although I do think my bed was more comfortable than her sofa bed in the livingroom. The 3 flights of stairs can be a bit of challenge with a load of luggage, but it was a small inconvenience.

For the young and restless and desperate only. I give it a D+.

Space okay. small. Bath/kitchen semi functional. FILTH here and there. NOISEY!! Morning, noon and night. Barking dogs. horns forever! no bureau. no secure internet, after 4 talks w/owner gave up. 4th floor walk-up should be mentioned up front for god's sake. We are in our 70s. Really too much not good to get into. Window AC units allow for grime and noise to intrude. We have made many one week trips to NYC, this was the most expensieve place and saddly the worst one too. Much better can be had for your $..

Loved the location on a quiet street but.close to central park. Bedroom and living room were much bigger than expected. Dining and kitchen Were small, but everything worked. I would stay here Again. If you don’t mind the steps, the best deal in nyc

Pros and Cons

The apartment itself is good. Ideal for three of us. The location is very good. Good access to the subway, busses and Central Park. The minuses are: it’s on the third floor and no elevator. Two of the three flights of stairs are not even. Although stable, the staircase leans slightly from one side to the other. It is enough to feel it in my knees and hip. A bottle of water I laid on a stair quickly rolled from one side to the other. Another negative point was that the person in the appointment below said that’s our bath was leaking into his room downstairs. I learned of this when a maintenance man came to look at the bathroom. I was then notified by the owner that a repair would be made, but it was not. Later I was visited by the downstairs tenant who was telling me about the problem. Needless to say, these visits left me uncomfortable and hesitant to shower. This is not something I should have had to deal with when renting.

Le point fort / sa situation idéale dans une jolie rue arborée, calme à deux pas de Central Park , du métro, des commerces Le point faible / l'équipement de la cuisine en vaisselle, le canapé lit défoncé, La déco qui fait illusion mais en très mauvais état, l'éclairage limite , et problème de sanitaire (visite du voisin du dessous car fuite d'eau Invisible de chez nous mais lui était inondé) on avait des scrupules à prendre notre douche bref......désagréable) Le propriétaire devrait signaler le nombre d'étage en l'occurrence au 3eme avec un escalier en dévers Un contact à minima via le site avec lui, qui se sentait d'ailleurs dès la Résa Bref ............... à vous de voir

Good location

The location of apartment is very good. Conveniently located short walk from the central park yet quiet. Subway station just a short walk away. But apartment is not maintained well and could get better with some tidying up. Photos are very deceiving. Flooring in living room and bathroom needs some repairs. Furniture is very basic quality. VRBO aspects of the rental went very well. Owner/manager Dov was very responsive. If you just need a place to crash at the end of tiring day with reasonable pricing, this place it is. Do not expect "a pleasant spending a day at the apartment" experience here.

Perfect location, nofrills but everything you need for a great NYC stay!

Clean, comfortable, quiet, and all amenities. Perfect for a family because both the bedroom and living room doors close, leaving a small but adequate dining and kitchen area to use for an early riser or night owl. Linens, towels, furniture is all basic but totally comfortable. A fine upper west side roost!

Great place. Close to central park and subways. Perfect size. As stated before..bathroom sink drains slow. Great water pressure. It is a old building. 3 flight stairs..55 steps is true. If you going for 7 days or buy a week subway pass. 33.00 use for subways and busses..unlimited. Great restaurants in walking distance. Enjoy your trip to NYC-this a nice place to stay..all stairs.

Small, functional apartment in a 90-year-old brownstone.

We couldn't ask for a better location, 1/2 a block from the subway and Central Park, and just blocks from some great restaurants. The apartment was small, but slept 4 comfortably, and had all the linens, towels and pillows we needed. It was a little rustic and cramped compared to a hotel, but it added to the experience of "living in NYC" for a week. The only downside was the steep stairwell to get to the 3rd-floor-walk-up (55 stairs in all). Overall, it was a great experience and we'd probably do it again!

Great for the price and location

This place was a decision for my family and I, it is located in the center of the Upper Westside. Just a few blocks to anywhere and a subway ride everywhere. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are planning a trip to NYC. Only cons I can think of is its on the forth floor so you must take 3 flights of stairs and the place could use a little TLC from the maintenance crew (although I am a maintenance man myself so I could be a little critical because it is my expertise) but other than that it is still great place that's a bargain in the area
