From our home, you can safely walk or ride bikes anywhere on the peninsula, Balboa Island, or down to Huntington Beach (a 45-minute ride 1 way) along the oceanfront boardwalk. However, with more than 30+ restaurants & bars, shops, electric boat/jet ski rentals, and Surfboard/Paddle-board Lessons all within a 20-minute walk, you will never need to travel far.
For those of you seeking a Daytime adventure, the Catalina Express, Whale Watching Tours, and Sailing Adventures all depart from the docks at the Balboa Pier. For those of you with kids, the Balboa Fun Zone is a new arcade and other amusement rides. For those of you with the itch to shop, we recommend hopping on the ferry to Balboa Island.
