Loved the location, the accommodations, the grounds, the amenities and the chickens, BUT, we came to see the special horses that greet you upon your arrival. I spoke w the owner just prior to our stay and feel she should have made us aware that the horses would be off property, over our entire 3 day stay. It was extremely disappointing., as the website shows a picture of three horses at the fence, greeting you. The description of the property is a â40-Acre Horse Farm.â Having two grandsonâs w me and having booked the weekend months ago, it was a let down to say the least. And, no apology. I understand things happen and apparently the horses were at cart training school, but at least say âSorry the horses are not here.â Kathy (owner) did not approach us at all.
Alan (owner) was very friendly and helpful. We loved our ATV âSpinâ through the 40 Acre woods! We have a great video of our screams/comments on the second drop! Enjoyed chatting w him immensely.
Again, the farm was delightful w a beautiful view, but a big disappointment w no horses to pet & take pictures with. It also hurt to read all the wonderful guestbook comments about Echo, the horse they all enjoyed so much on their stay.
I recommend the farm, but if youâre counting on a horse farm, check the status of the horses prior to your visit.
