This house smells! We have rented homes in the past with well water but never encountered anything as bad as this. It smelled of rotten eggs nearly the entire month we were there. The owners treat it themselves with what smelled like chlorine while everyone else in the neighborhood professionally managed the smell with water softeners and reverse osmosis. We spoke to professionals who told us this could be managed easily. When we first met the owners the first thing they said was the water smells! This should have been disclosed to us prior to rental and traveling 1500 miles. Owners treatment of water would only work for a few hours. The remaining time the entire house smelled of sulphur. Next the septic system overflowed into the shower and overflowed the toilets. The owners promptly had it emptied but the following day, the clothes washer and toilet would not drain.The seating in the living room is well past its prime and rendered no support. We had to sit on dining chairs to watch television and chat at night. The gas grill flow tubes are rotted out so nothing grilled evenly.There was almost no cleaning products in the house. The tile flooring was filthy and finally washed two weeks into our stay. We spent hundreds in water to drink and brush our teeth as the smell from the faucet would gag you.We had to buy lithium grease to get the sliders to open! The owners seem like genuinely nice people but they make no investment in the property, everything is second hand.
