On the ground floor, the open-plan living, dining and kitchen space is warm and welcoming, with a cosy log burner for cooler evenings and sliding patio doors that open onto a private terrace. The small but perfectly formed kitchen is well equipped for relaxed self-catering, while a stylish wet room shower room completes the ground floor. Paddle stairs lead up to the mezzanine bedroom, where a comfortable double bed awaits beneath the eaves. Outside, the patio is the real highlight, boasting far-reaching views across the reservoir. Here you can unwind in the two-person wood-fired hot tub or enjoy al fresco dining using the brick-built barbecue as the sun sets over the countryside.

A short stroll brings you into the charming village of Welford, set on one of England’s historic coaching routes. The village is home to a welcoming pub, a handy local shop, and the terminus of the Welford Arm of the Grand Union Canal, a particularly picturesque spot for gentle walks and waterside picnics.
