Please note: No children under 12 years old. There is an unfenced lake in the grounds.. Decorated in soft duck egg green, with elegant bird-themed fabrics, this shepherd’s hut is a calming, cosy space to relax in comfort.

The sleeping area features a comfortable double bed, star-lit ceiling, TV and charming views of the setting sun or swooping swallows. Inside, the kitchen is well-equipped with an oak worktop and all the appliances needed, this is ideal for preparing relaxed meals. The spacious en-suite includes a generous double shower, toilet, washbasin, fluffy towels, and complimentary toiletries. A snug seating area, foldaway table, wood burner and underfloor heating make it a warm and welcoming hideaway all year round. Outside, soak in the natural beauty from your own private wood-fired hot tub, dine al fresco with the firepit, BBQ, and take in the gentle sounds of the lake. For the ultimate in relaxation, book a treatment at the onsite wellness room which offers massages and holistic therapies for Shepherds Lodge guests.

Shepherds Lodge Retreat & Wellness is located in the scenic Vale of Belvoir, where the counties of Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire meet. Surrounded by gently rolling hills, country lanes and historic villages, this unspoilt area is perfect for walking, cycling and horse riding. Nearby, the impressive Belvoir Castle offers grand architecture and events throughout the year, while adjacent to the castle, The Engine Yard is home to boutique shops, cafés and artisan producers.

For a slower pace, enjoy wine tastings at Hanwell Wine Estate. Those bringing a horse can use on-site stables, and safe bike storage is also available. Guests can also enjoy The Duck Inn, a stylish, shared lakeside summerhouse with a sociable bar area, dining space, hammocks, swing chairs and a fridge to keep drinks chilled—ideal for gathering with friends or simply watching the sun set in comfort.
