Colorful and fun, this half of a completely remodeled duplex is your gateway to the ultimate Oceanside vacation! When you want to get out and explore, this home is a short walk from several shops and restaurants as well as the Oceanside Pier. You're also less than 10 miles from top local attractions including the Oceanside Museum of Art, the Flower Fields, and the Crossings at Carlsbad. Venture out a little farther and find yourself at LEGOLAND, SeaWorld, and downtown San Diego.

Lovely location and very spacious. There were some discrepancies between the info in the listing and the unit. Keypad for the garage parking did not work and there was no key left in the unit to access the garage as described. In discussions with an employee with the management company it seems a recent change from one management company to a new one left a few things lost in translation. I was told the keypad to the garage never worked in the past. The key was never located. Additionally the sliding doors to the patio were old and didn’t shut tightly which we didn’t notice until a massive wind/rain storm blew through. Just seemed like a walkthrough by the new management and a review of their instructions for accuracy would have been helpful.

Like most properties on the ocean in Oceanside, this one is not new. The bathrooms and Kitchen we’re remodeled since the house was built and function well. The place had the feel of a short-term rental that hasn’t been visited by the owner in a while. For example, several lights are out (kitchen is the most impactful), kitchen utensils need to be refreshed, several windows don’t open (salt air hates metal), master shower has poor water flow. Another thing that needs attention is the patio, there’s so much furniture out there, it’s difficult to walk around – lose the outdoor dinning furniture, we had to put several chairs in the house so we could use it.The downstairs part is gross, old and degrading, really needs a refresh. The ocean view, access and neighborhood are terrific of course. Walkability to the Strand and downtown / restaurants is 1 mile either way. We were there in Sept. notorious for being humid, the AC was terrific for this at night and sleeping. The furniture needs to be cleaned or replaced, could be worse because of the humidity, but time to refresh it regardless.We had three issues (initial key code didn’t work, running toilet, and the toaster was dead) and Vacasa was excellent – super quick and fixed them all– nice work folks!Before renting this again, I’d like to see the owner fix these and post it on the listing. If they reinvested a portion of their profits back into the property, this would be a 5/5.

Beautiful view but could use some maintenance

Pros:Beautiful oceanfront viewWe appreciated the property manager texting us to let us know we could check in early.Beautiful kitchen and had what we needed.The unit was very clean.Cons:Most of the door knobs and towel racks are broken throughout the house. Bathroom doors don't lock. Overall, could just use some basic maintenance updates and care.I wished there was a deadbolt lock on the main door to the unit. The house smelled like weed when we arrived but improved the following days. We expressed this to the property manager on arrival but he didnt respond. We didnt want to get charged a fee if the previous renters smoked in the unit.The main sliding patio doors are very heavy to open. They could use some maintenance as they do not close and seal all the way. Concern is letting pests inside.If you're looking for a place with easy, direct beach access, this is not it. There are no steps going to the beach from the property itself. Only rocks and not easy to climb down for adults. You'll need to walk down the street to get to the sand. However, if you're looking for just a beautiful oceanview and dont care about accessing the beach, then you'll enjoy this property.

Great Experience - would stay here again!

The rental and the location were perfect for our family vacation. The porch view was fabulous, and it was a short walk to the beach/pier, restaurants, and shopping. The kitchen was very well stocked, and all the beds were comfortable. It was an added bonus to have 2 designated parking spaces available. We would definitely stay here again.

Gorgeous Oceanside Ocean Front Location

Our family decided for a vacation in Oceanside, CA. This home had everything we needed and with 4 ladies the 3 bathrooms were so great...no one had to share (expect the 12 year olds). I truly appreciated that the home had fans in the bedrooms which were helpful during the warmer moments of the day. Each morning we would walk to Buccaneer Coffee for our java. There is not a great beach terribly close- but if you are willing to go about a mile you will find a family friendly beach- and if you are a surfer...well get out in the water- we saw so many surfers working the waves...and even a few dolphins too. This home was great and we appreciated the laundry soap and toiletries offered (the 12 year olds forgot soap...ay yi yi).

Inaccurate/incomplete listing

Although we appreciated the general location of this rental, there were several inaccuracies or inconveniences that should be pointed out. The gas fireplace highlighted in the listing didn’t work. When we contacted VACASA we were told that it was actually "not an available amenity" for us. Extremely disappointing since it was a key reason we chose this rental for our chilly February timeframe. Part of the ocean-front yard has been washed away by the King tides in January. We were not notified of this until a couple of days before arriving. Be careful of the large washed-out hole in front of the bordering boulders. Could be a danger if you’re bringing young children. Be aware that the pathway to ocean on neighboring lot is very steep and ends at large boulders at bottom - Not really any beach at this location except possibly at extreme low tides. There is a key pad for the garage door but that info was not included in the access info. You need to call VACASA for the code. We didn’t see a washer/dryer in the unit. Favorably the kitchen was very well-equipped. But you might want an extension cord as many of the outlet plugs throughout the unit are inaccessible or in inconvenient locations. Be aware that the bedroom window curtains provide a minimum of privacy, as they are “see through” with lights on at night.

Incredible views. If you surf you can go in right next to property. Close to downtown and lovely little beachside coffee and cafe. Spacious living area and balcony and tre fire pit was fantastic!

Amazing view

Loved our stay here. The views are gorgeous. You feel like the ocean is in your backyard. There's plenty of street parking. Neighborhood is fairly quiet given that it's an oceanfront property. The 'hood is also very walkable. Lots of shops, cafes nearby. Close to freeway. The interior is updated. Lots of dishes/utensils and appliances. Feels spacious and was plenty of room for the 6 of us. A few negatives-> cheap linen, toilet paper. Cannot lock the front door from inside. Wifi is spotty at times. You can hear the upstairs tenants foot steps. And the garage is very small and cannot fit suv without your front bumper touching the wall. Also no garage opener so someone has to hop out the vehicle to go inside to open or close the door. Also the shared firepit area is dilapidated with caution tape as a fence. Didn't look safe so we didn't use but upstairs tenants did. Overall, great location, beautiful home, and we would definitely stay again!
