SeaMeadow Cottage – An Unplugged Coastal Retreat

This cozy, pine-paneled home offers a screened porch overlooking the meadow and cove—perfect for dining, relaxing, and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. SeaMeadow is an unplugged property with no Wi-Fi or cable, inviting you to slow down, reconnect with nature, and savor simple pleasures like good company and fresh lobster dinners.

Privately tucked behind pine woods yet not remote, Point View Lane serves as the home's driveway off a quiet residential road that ends at a broad, sandy beach in the fishing village of Owls Head, Maine.

Inside, you'll find two bedrooms with queen beds—one on the first floor and one upstairs with a half bath—as well as a third upstairs bedroom with two twin beds and its own sink. There's a full bath with a washer and dryer on the first floor and a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, providing all the essentials for a comfortable stay. (1Âœ baths total.)

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome (no cats, please), and the home is smoke-free. If you need to connect briefly, Wi-Fi hot spots are available nearby at the airport terminal and other local locations.

Beautiful and relaxing

The property is very spacious and beautiful surroundings. The home very pretty. The house was VERY well stocked and we appreciated having all detergents, spices, cleaning supplies and bags, toilet paper etc as needed supplied. The air conditioning in master bedroom works VERY well, and the open air throughout the home was perfect (many windows). It was secluded and quiet/peaceful and just very lovely! Fantastic Place

We really enjoyed staying here. It was everything we expected. There were a couple of things that we wish were a little better. The mattress was very hard and flat. We would of liked to have more wood for the wood burner but all in all it was a wonderful place to stay.

PEACEFUL OASIS

The rental was perfect for the occasion. When we arrived the house lived up to our expectations. Everything was neat and clean, the beds were made up and there were towels for everyone. The view was spectacular and the house was well built to take in that entire view. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and entertaining. Notes everywhere on how to use electronics. Great Waterfront Property

This property was just what we were looking for, for a long Labor Day weekend getaway with our grown kids who both live in New England now (Boston and Portland). Well-outfitted, quiet waterfront and very enjoyable. We'll definitely keep it in mind for next time we come to Maine during the summer.

Absolutely gorgeous water views!!

A beautiful home with water views in every direction. We rented kayaks for the week from seaspray and enjoyed exploring. Saw 2 seals! Had dinner at 5 island lobster- amazing and enjoyed the beach at Reid state park. Hoping to return as soon as possible!

Wonderful get away

This is a beautiful out of the way experience. The house was clean, family friendly with comfortable amenities. Sitting out at night overlooking the river was so peaceful. Although you felt like you were in the middle of nowhere it is conveniently located close to beaches and attractions. We loved it and hope to book again.

Beautiful spot to enjoy Mid Coast Maine!

We felt privileged to stay in this family home. The house is smaller than appears in photos, but plenty of room for 2 moms and 3 teens. THe house is windowed on all sides, so you almost felt like your were staying outdoors. The screen porch was a great addition, as traveling in June to Maine is usually fraught with bugs. Maine bugs are huge, but generally lazy, so they leave you alone if your keep moving. For sitting outside in the evening the screen is a must!! The beds were mostly comfortable, if old, although the loft only had very old mattresses on the floor that really need replacing. The kids put 2 sets of sheets on them to feel cleaner. The kitchen is stocked, but with very old pots and pans and there is no ice maker. We made do quite well, these are mostly small things. The location is perfect! We spent everyday exploring the finger peninsula's of the coast. Locally the Osprey Restraunt and 5 Islands lobster pound is not to be missed. Near 5 Islands is a wonderful farm store with delectable local cheese and snacks. Boothbay Harbor is always fun and Pemequid lighthouse is my favorite of the area. My main gripe with the house was the management company Vacasa. We had 2 maintenance issues (the heat, which not needed after 1st night thankfully, and the washing machine) and called the company to have a service person come 36 hours after promised for the heat, and the call about the washer was completely ignored. We have stayed at other houses managed by the owners or other property companies with much better response time. With Vacasa you have to leave a message, no one ever answers the phone. I suppose I should not have been surprised as when booking the home my emails took days to be answered. On the whole it was fine, but I would have been very upset if it had really been cold and we had no heat.

My husband and I stated here for our anniversary. The property exceeded my expectations from the pictures. Great experience from start to finish. The location is ideal for a calm, romantic setting.
