You are looking for homestay accommodation for a low price then you have come to the right place. We are a couple of Tahitians with 3 children (17, 13 and 7 years old) and live in a large house in the town of Paea on the West Coast. We are 200 meters from a shopping center (food store, restaurant, organic trade, pharmacy, dance hall etc.) and 100 meters from a beautiful white sand beach. We provide our guests with a room on the ground floor. The bedroom is equipped with a double bed and a single bed that can accommodate a maximum of 3 people. There is a storage cabinet, a bedside table and an air fan. The private bathroom is at your disposal. The continental breakfast (coffee, tea, chocolate, toasted bread, butter jam) is free and self service during your stay. You have access to the swimming pool and deckchairs. WiFi is also offered. Possibility of requesting in addition the airport transfer guest house which will be invoiced at 3000 f cfp.

Not as advertised on stayz

Almost everything on the Tama homestay site was false.Airport pickup I was charged 5000xpf it was advertised as 3000xpf No continental breakfast & no soap in bathroom to wash your hands.When I enquired about it I was offered to leave & a refund, I reply with small refund for continental breakfast daily? Host said that he’d have his mother/ housekeeper buy the items she returns with very basic things bread, margarine, jam, coffee, tea, powdered milk sachets & soap. Not continental breakfast ingredients exactly.Oven wasn’t working, email host takes a day to reply, power is switched off because no one uses it, it’s to hot to use an oven & oven makes noises. He sends me picture instructions to switch oven back on. When I use the oven there was no problem & no noises. B. S.I stayed in Tama which has keys to lock the door as does the bathroom you use to & it’s situated across the hall, well unfortunately I locked the keys in bathroom & no one was about, (young couple staying same time as I was out) I was panicking, rang host told him, puts me onto his wife, she was laughing, I didn’t find it funny & told her I can’t believe your laughing & she went psycho screaming down the phone at me. I had a look on YouTube & fortunately was able to find a helpful video & able to open the door & get the keysWifi doesn’t work in room Tama.My medication I had to keep in fridge was tampered with.Couple staying didn’t clean up kitchen after themselves, dirty, causing ants everywhere.

Nice place if you have a car

Good things include a large kitchen, small pool, laundry and a large garage. Not so good is the WiFi available in the common areas only, and the need to cross a common hallway to enter your designated bathroom. Not sure about the breakfast in the description, I had to serve my own.

not very clean

The pool was clean but the kitchen cabinets were greasy, the kind of grease that has been there a long time. It had fan in the room but the main area needs at least a couple. Very hot in daytime so you better plan to go to the beach. was convienent to stores and was very safe neighborhood. The dogs barked all the time, day and night, roosters very confused, the coco-a doodle-doo'd all night and day long... very noisy. was a nice Island to stay at overall spoiler alert... very expensive here in the Islands

Great long-term stay in quiet beach town

5-stars overall value for a clean comfortable room in a well-equipped house located in a safe gated neighborhood in walking distance to the public beach and grocery store. The ground floor of the house has 3 guest rooms each with a dedicated bathroom, spacious common kitchen and living areas and solid WiFi, and outdoors is a large back patio and pool plus laundry room. Irina and family are gracious hosts and I got the chance to enjoy Polynesian brunch which was an amazing experience!

Nice place in a gated community, may be 20 houses

Good deal for he money we paid, good pool, quiet, just difficult to find it in the dark, NO street addresses in many places. If you are coming from Papeete, in Paea you pass the Pharmacy with green lights on the right side, go additional 3-400 meters/yards, on the left -mountainside is tehe only white gate with a private drive inside, gate opens with digital code, tricky security protection, but it works.

Three Nights by Randy Mark

Pool was wonderful and was the main reason I enjoyed it. Irina was friendly and fortunately spoke English. Shower and tub were top quality. Neighboring rooster could have been quieter. Main complaint was no place to sit and read a book. The only chair was an uncomfortable desk chair. I was alone, but for two people it would not have been comfortable to have to sit on the bed to read or watch television. As an aside, Tahiti drivers are very dangerous. They pulled across white line to make left hand turns. I missed one by less than six inches.
