Bel appartement au coeur de Paris

Nous avons passĂ© 5 jours agrĂ©ables chez Annie. L’appartement est idĂ©al pour un sĂ©jour dĂ©tente Ă  Paris. Central/Ă  distance de marche de nombreux sites et pourtant exceptionnellement calme (cour intĂ©rieure lumineuse). Annie est une hĂŽtesse trĂšs arrangeante. Merci beaucoup, Annie. A week in October in Annie's guest apartment

We spent an October-week in Annie's oasis of tranquility. As no hotel stay can make possible, we were able to feel something of the quiet, perhaps pristine, flair of Saint Germain des Prés in this cozy little guest apartment under the roof of a five-storey house, built about two hundred years ago: the narrowness of living in the small but very quiet and well-kept inner courtyard, the quiet piano scores that wafted in to us from some apartment late in the morning like selected background music as well as in the late afternoon, almost melancholy echoes of the complex playing of the bells of Saint Germain Abbey. But this flair you can certainly not simply book, only search and perhaps experience - from the homey atmosphere of the small apartment with the multitude of filled bookshelves and the well-kept, old parquet floor (which should also be given some consideration). We just had booked the small, clean and fully sufficiently equipped apartment: Both the furniture - especially the high-quality metratresses of the bed - and the small pantry-kitchen as well as the small, sometimes narrow, but well-equipped bathroom with the separate toilet have made our daily routines very pleasant. The arrival by metro line 4 and subsequent few footsteps is uncomplicated, as is the very warm welcome by Annie. She is able to transport the heavy luggage to the apartment in a different way than via the more than eighty-storey historic staircase (Which is still waiting for its renovation.). The guest apartment is the perfect starting point for walks to the districts of Paris distinguished by their special individual charm and equally to the famous touristic sights. One step out of the door of the quiet courtyard onto the narrow sidewalk of Rue Bonaparte and the active life of today's Paris with its mostly select and elegantly dressed people quickly absorbs you. We take away many, exclusively positive impressions - and we will be back! With many thanks to Annie, whom we have experienced as a very sympathetic, attentive, endeavored and affectionate hostess. Having met her will accompany us in the future as a very personal, human enrichment.

The apartment is very charming, I loved it. Everything was spotlessly clean and very convenient. The apartment is very quiet and the bed ist really comfortable. The location is excellent, close to bars, cafes, shops and the main attractions of Paris. The metro is only 100 meter walking. Marc always responded quickly and was extremely kind and helping. This studio is perfect for solo travelers or a couple. The location is fantastic, within walking distance from the the Siene, the Louvre, Notre Dame, the Latin Quarter, and dizzing amount of cafes and restaurants. It's also just a few blocks away from multiple Metro stations. The studio was very clean and well kept, and was located in a very safe area. Everything in the listing for the apartment was there when I arrived, and the ease of check-in/check-out was refreshing.The owner, Annie, is wonderful. She was incredibly kind and accommodating, and very communicative. I really enjoyed meeting her! She also offered her expertise with suggestions and insights that were very helpful. As has already been said in other reviews, it should be noted that this is a walk-up apartment, up 4 flights of moderately steep stairs, with no elevator. So those with mobility concerns may find it difficult. But other than that, this apartment was great and I would definitely stay there again. Thank you, Annie, for such a great expereince!

This apartment was exactly what I was looking for for my stay in Paris. It has one good sized room with a big window, so there is lots of light and air. It also has a very nice bathroom and a more than adequate little kitchen. The apartment faces onto an inner courtyard, so it is quiet, with just enough church bell sounds to give it atmosphere. The apartment's location is perfect, just steps away from St.Germain des Pres and the nearest metro stop, in what looks like one of the poshest neighborhoods in Paris.Annie is a wonderful hostess. She gave me the grand tour and showed me how everything worked. She pointed me towards the closest grocery store and left a list of recommended locale restaurants. Later in my stay she took me out for tea and listened to my dreadful French for an hour. In other words, she was the soul of kindness, and I can't wait to stay with her again.

This was probably the most comfortable studio I've ever stayed in Paris. The water was hot, the walk in closet let me put all my luggage and clothes out of sight, I could cook and do laundry, and it had a shower/tub combo. It is 4 flights of stairs, but this is Paris, and Annie taking the luggage upstairs and down via a separate elevator was much appt. I have had to drag luggage up stairs before at other places, and was very glad she was able to do that at check in and check out. Also Annie was lovely, helpful and very responsive. I was extremely satisfied with my stay here. And the location was very central!

Location! Location! Location! We were in the heart of Saint-Germain des Pres, minutes from Musee D’Orsay, The Louvre, Tuileries, Notre Dane, Jazz clubs across the Seine, and so much more. Plus the metro was right around the corner. In the apt were guide books including a notebook with suggested excellent neighborhood restaurants all very close by. The apartment was very clean and well equipped. Nespresso machine and pods were welcome touch and we easily bought more pods nearby. Somehow we missed that this was a fourth floor walk-up so for a couple in our 70s, it was a workout that we quickly adjusted to. :) . To make it so much more pleasant, Annie brought our bags up and down for us - so no complaints. Oh, and we loved the combo washer-dryer! Being able to do laundry was a big plus. If you’re looking for an apartment incredibly conveniently located, this is for you. We spent a week here and saw lots by foot and lots via the metro.

What impressed us the most about this apartment was its location. It is within walking distance to many iconic sites in Paris
Jardin du Luxembourg , Eiffel Tower, Norte Dame, MusĂ©e D’Orsay, the Seine, many sites on the right bank, etc etc. There are two metro stations only a 5 minute walk away for sites further afield. There are numerous restaurants both obscure and familiar, French and more exotic ( Japanese,Korean, etc). There is tons of shopping including art galleries, clothing boutiques and of course a few grocery stores and boulangeries. The list can go on with many cathedrals worth visiting as well as museums. The apartment it self is cozy with an equipped but small kitchen that is against the wall in the hallway which leads to the front door and the toilet portion of the bathroom. The separate bathroom is just that a bath/tub and sink. It is off of the bedroom which also includes a table and two chairs for dining. Regarding opinion of comfort and agreeability, the apartment could use better lighting, the bathroom needs a step ladder or hand rail for getting into the tub as it is quite high off the floor and lastly the chairs at the dining table could be more comfortable. Annie the proprietor is friendly, available and ready to please. We enjoyed our stay here.

Beware if you are candid with this host about her property and listing, especially the treacherous stairs! Ask for photos and video before booking. 1500 characters cannot cover the issues. (READ FULL REVIEW IN PHOTOS)‱The stairwell is unsafe, poorly lit and dirty--Victorian era Death Stairs. The host discloses 80 steps but fails to mention the stairwell is a narrow,1800s servant's stairwell. It is not the building's main stairwell. -The treads are very shallow and slippery. Near the rail you cannot fit your full foot. I was barely able to angle my full 6.5/37 shoe on the outside tread edge. -The steep risers are an uneven height. I caught the sole of my shoe a few times when I misjudged the height going down. -A few of the treads are loose and move if you hit the wrong spot.‱Avoid if you are tall, broad or heavy. The shower head area is about a foot wide. If you are tall, even the tub will be difficult to use without hitting your head because of the angled roof. ‱Avoid if you don't want to be fraudulently assessed charges for damages. Beware the host does not provide a check in sheet, so you better photograph or video everything. ‱Avoid if your suitcases are not airline overhead bin size and you have more than one bag per person, or the host will complain. ‱Avoid if your flight leaves before 10 in the morning, or your bags are left at the bottom of the servant’s stairwell, essentially outside, and out of your security. Great location, very clean, comfortable bed, some noise at night, Annie was very friendly and helpful, shower was good, but very narrow where the head comes out of the wall, although the listing outlined the four flights of stairs it was challenging for us in our 70’s and in good shape, bed was very comfortable, closet was great, large and easy access, nice treats as a welcome, kitchen was good and the espresso machine was super, really on the fence if I would rent again due only to the stairs

This apartment was not as it was presented on the listing. Nowhere on the listing did it say that it was on the 4th floor. I had a condition that made climbing stairs extremely difficult and would not have chosen this had I known. There were insufficient instructions as to how to use the combo washer/dryer. It also seemed that someone lived there as there were drawers filled with personal items.

Perfect!

Where do I begin? My time in this apartment was wonderful, starting with the reservation process. Annie was kind and responsive and readily answered any questions I had before arrival. She greeted me warmly, brought my baggage to the unit, and was available and helpful throughout my stay. The studio itself, with its book-lined shelves, is fantastic. There is a well-equipped kitchenette in which I wish I’d done some cooking, but I had too much to do and see every day! The sitting area is very comfortable- it was a nice place to get ready while enjoying my coffee, which Annie kindly provided. There is a great deal of natural light, and the occasional sound of bells was quite beautiful. It was extremely hot in Paris during my stay but that was not a problem as there is a very powerful tower fan that cooled down the room very effectively. The bed was extremely comfortable after hours of exploring the city. Also, the walk-in closet offered a great deal of storage space. There are even umbrellas in case it rains- a very nice touch. As others have noted, the location cannot be beaten. The Seine, mĂ©tro, and several useful bus routes are all quite close. I always find it difficult to leave Paris, but this time it was especially so because of how much I loved this spot! I really hope to return there someday. Merci beaucoup, Annie!

Gem in St Germain

This property is ideally located in the sixth arrondissent St Germain. Annie is very helpful during check-in and check-out with luggage. she is available immediately anytime we needed anything. It is on a walk up, but that makes it very quiet. The bed is large for Europe and so is the closet. She provided Nespresso pods for coffee and everything was spotless.

Wonderful accommodations in an amazing location

My daughter and I spent a wonderful 5 nights in this charming apartment. The host, Annie, is a delight and made our stay so pleasant! The apartment is on the 4th floor, but Annie helped us by bringing our luggage by elevator at both our arrival and departure. The apartment is so comfortable and had everything we could have needed during our stay. Lastly, I can't say enough good things about the location of this apartment. We loved the neighborhood, and you are within easy walking distance of so many attractions! Also there are several Metro stations close by. If I return to Paris I will absolutely hope to stay here again! Merci, Annie!

We had a wonderful stay! The apartment is exactly as described - comfortable, with everything you need to launch your Paris adventure. We spent most of our time exploring the city from this ideal location to then come home in the evening to a comfortable bed, kitchenette, and a quiet place to relax. Great Stay in a Centrally Located Paris Apartment

We stayed at this apartment during our anniversary trip to Paris and had a wonderful experience. The location is excellent - centrally located in the 6th Arrondissement and just a short walk to Metro lines #4 and #10, which made getting around the city incredibly easy. There are several great restaurants, a grocery/housewares store, and a boulangerie all within a five-minute walk or less.The apartment itself was clean, quiet, and felt very safe. While compact and up four flights of stairs, it had everything we needed. It served as a comfortable base for exploring the city as well as taking day trips away from Paris. Annie, our host, was warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. She provided clear instructions, made us feel right at home when she welcomed us, gave great local recommendations, and checked-in to make sure that everything was alright. Her thoughtful hospitality added a personal touch that made our trip even more special.We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient and cozy spot in the heart of Paris.

Location, Location, Location!

C’etait magnifique! This is truly the best location and one of the loveliest neighborhoods in Paris. Close to all sights, restaurants and shops. Annie was a terrific host, with excellent communication before and during our stay. Her apartment is immaculate and pin-drop quiet. Bed is comfortable and shower quite modern by Paris standards, with plenty of hot water and excellent pressure. Kitchen is well-equipped for a quick meal. We would definitely return.
