Roaches, Broken Tiles, Terrible Communication

We arrived at 4:20pm on the day of check-in (Saturday). Our host never sent us the door key code so we spent an hour calling and texting him and customer service. Finally, Casey called and apologized because the automated message never sent. We get in the house and find roaches everywhere. The wood and tile floors had water damage and were a major hazard for our young children. Planks were fully diasodged and tile at the bathroom entrance was broken. Casey advised floors were scheduled for repair in the beginning of August and he was aware of the roach issue as well but would send pest control. They came Tuesday morning while we were getting around and set several glue traps and applied poison bait. I messsged him several times and sent the pictures he requested, he confirmed he received them then halted all communication. Today, I reached out for an update on the refund and was given a hateful response about "what refund? You don't get to stay for free!" I sent him a screenshot of his offer to refund and he told me to take it up with VRBO.Worst experience possible. Our luggage stayed on the back porch. We had to wash dishes before using them land again afterwards. I spent an hour each night killing bugs and spraying chemicals before bed.

We went on a family trip, one of the kids first times to the beach. We had planned to stay so we could cook most of the meals and only go out a night or two. We ended up eating out every meal because the house was covered in roaches. We reached out, Casey responded that it had been sprayed 10 days prior, we went and bought cans of raid and let him know it was worse. He then said that pest control was coming back out before we left, they never did and then said they were coming the day after we left.Also the entire houses flooring was coming up, or broken and the kids kept tripping over the loose flooring pieces that it had looked like the house had flooded.When we reached out he said he would let give us two more nights of our choice for free and refund us for raid. Which we would not want to stay there again, all of our snacks we brought we had to throw out because of the roaches getting in everything. It was absolutely terrible experience.

Property in sketchy area. Neighbors dog barked for 4 hours straight at night. Loose boards in the hallway, spouse tripped a couple times on them. One of the beds was very squeaky. Master bathroom door didn’t close. I’m glad our trip was cut short due to family emergency.

Nice House..........Close to Pensacola Yacht Club

The house was close to the Pensacola Yacht Club and would be great for anyone (like us) looking to rent a house while they were at a regatta there. The main room was large with an open Kitchen and large dining room table. The bedrooms were fine. Overall.. the house is not super luxurious, but it was functional and the price is more than fair for what you get.

Great location

House is at the end of a quiet street only a couple blocks from the bay. Close to anything you could need. Great communication with the owner. Both showers are walk-in which was great for my elderly mother and physically challenged brother.

Nice little house

For the price, this house exceeded expectations, its clean, and located perfectly for adventures in the city as well as for beach days. Often when renting I dont always feel at home, but this place just feels homey, beds are very comfortable, kitchen is supplied very well with all the items needed during our stay. The washer and dryer were a big plus, we were able to wash our clothes and beach towels regularly. The bathrooms and showers are very clean. The only thing that id change is for the AC to work better. Thankfully i travel with a large fan, for the noise, we used it to help push the cold air from the master bedroom with the window unit out in to the rest if the house, it worked for our needs and the house cooled down after being 80 when we showed up, the window unit wasn't on though so im sure thats why it was so hot. Honestly though, this house is well work it.

Less than expected

It served the need, but not the best rental we have had. Broken tile floors in hall bath. Sinking spots when walking through by kitchen, and broken flooring. Not enough washcloths for the size of house and our party of 4. We also had to re-wash all towels and wash cloths as they smelled of mildew. We have rented 4 homes in Pensacola over the last two years. This would be on the bottom of our list. I do not like leaving negative comment, but what I am stating is truthful.

Great Place

My family and I recently came into town for my daughters dance competition. When looking for a place, we needed something with quick access to The Bay Center. This home definitely met our first need. We found it easy to walk to the bay to visit the playground. The home is exactly as described in the post. There are a couple of improvements that could be made to make this house perfect but honestly its location to downtown, beaches, price, all make this place a great place to stay if you're in the Pensacola area. We will definitely stay here again if we came back. The owner is great. He was quick to respond to messages and helpful in assisting us if we needed it. Overall, this is great place to stay.

Wedding stay

We had a great stay here! We were here for our daughters wedding and it was a perfect distance from her wedding location. The house was clean and the area was very quiet! The beds are comfy and we had everything we needed for our stay. The location is very convenient to restaurants and grocery stores and is just a short drive to Pensacola beach.
