Welcome to Pepin Guest Haus! Our cozy yet modern and fresh loft has beautiful views of Lake Pepin and is walking distance to everything in town. Pepin, Wisconsin is the hidden gem of the Midwest. As your hosts, we aim to share this treasure with you.

The stretch of Wisconsin Highway 35 running along Lake Pepin has been called the prettiest drive in America by the Huffington Post. American Poet, journalist, and editor of the New York Evening Post stated that ā€œLake Pepin ought to be visited by every poet and painter in the land.ā€ Beyond the breathtaking views of river bluffs and Lake Pepin, and the authentically nautical environment, the town of Pepin itself boasts great food, gift shopping, boating/ice fishing, and the perfect setting to create some of your best memories.

Pepin is home to the well known, beautiful Italian winery, Villa Bellezza, from which Pepin Guest Haus is conveniently located across the street. Additionally, the town has a variety of restaurants including the famous Harbor View Cafe, iconic lakeside boat-up restaurant The Pickle Factory, and the fun-in-the-sun Garden Pub & Grille. For breakfast be sure to visit the Homemade Cafe and if you like Barbeque don't miss Smoke-In D's pop up stand - all located walking distance from Pepin Guest Haus. Pepin is also the original home of American author Laura Ingalls Wilder and has a museum dedicated to her and the early settlers of the area. Gift shops and metal art are plentiful in town as well.

Pepin itself can delight for a full weekend but if you'd like to explore the area by car or motorcycle the towns of Bay City, Maiden Rock, Stockholm, Nelson, Alma, Fountain City, Wabasha, Lake City, Frontenac, and Red Wing are all within 45 minutes or less from Pepin Guest Haus. If you enjoy wine tasting Pepin Guest Haus is a perfect home base as you embark upon the Great River Road Wine Trail!

For the comfort of our guests - whether it's a wedding at the winery or nearby country venue, a weekend with your beloved or friends, or you just need to get away and relax - we've made sure Pepin Guest Haus is nicely appointed. During your stay you'll enjoy the following within the suite:

We were just staying for one night and unfortunately didnā€™t spend much time on the property. The space was beautiful, clean, and welcoming. I wish we could have had two days here in order to appreciate the space a bit more. We will absolutely be booking this space again. Anniversary Get Away

This place is perfect! Cozy and private loft. New guest house with a lot of love put into the details. Everything is new and fresh, expertly decorated. All the modern amenities were provided along with fireplace, deck, fire pit, grill. And a view of Lake Pepin. Very peaceful; star gazed from the deck. Among our favorite stays! We'll be back! Very cute. Might be helpful to stress that there is no oven or stovetop (I know the description said kitchenette), but a reminder might help. Also, a note that the apartment is up a fairly steep flight of stairs, which would be important know if someone has a disability. Four adults is stretching it for comfort, but doable. We really did enjoy our friends Christmas!

The fall colors of Pepin

The property was lovely. Very homey and comforting and well maintained and stocked. We really enjoyed ourselves. I might rent it again but only for 2 of us. We had 3 of us and utilized both the cot and the pullout couch. Neither were comfortable. The cot was SO noisy, everytime you moved the slightest it just creaked and squeaked and that was in close quarters to everyone else. Enjoyed the deck and neighborhood and everyone we talked to.

Indeed! A restic modern loft close to the winery and a nice walk to the marina. We stayed 1 night. After a class at Villa Bellazza, walked to the marina, watched a Netflix movie and in the morning, drank our coffee on the deck. We absolutely loved our stay at Katherine's loft in Pepin! Every detail was cared for, from the instructions received before arrival to all the amenities that were carefully placed and labeled throughout the apartment. Everything was so perfect and comfortable. We loved the deck overlooking Lake Pepin. Filtered water in the fridge, shower bombs in the bathroom, makeup face cloths, plenty of outlets, and again - everything labeled!!! We could see and feel the love that went into this place and we'll definitely come back!!!

This little slice of heaven was a perfect for our overnight stay! The host thought of EVERYTHING!
