This is a difficult review to write because the property itself had a lot of charm, and the neighborhood was fantastic. But that’s not enough to deal with roaches.
My experience was significantly impacted by pest issues.
I checked in after 6:00 PM and immediately saw a roach. I contacted management right away by phone and email and provided photos and videos. Because there was a major festival in the area, I was unable to find alternative accommodations that evening. Later that night, after getting into bed, I noticed insects in the sheets and around the headboard. I documented what I found and sent additional photos and emails to management. At that point, I no longer felt comfortable sleeping in the bed. I slept outside of the covers, kept my bags tucked away, left the lights on, and got very little rest.
The following day, I saw another roach of a different size. By then, I was spending more time documenting insects and contacting management.
I booked a three-night stay but ultimately stayed only two nights as the weekend was busy and I could no get a hotel room sooner. I wouldn’t have stayed 1 day if a hotel was available: Despite reporting the issues immediately upon arrival, I did not receive meaningful outreach regarding a resolution until the end of the second day of my stay. By then, I had already spent most of my trip dealing with the situation and had been left to find alternative accommodations on my own.
I even left a pair of shoes I used to kill roaches
