While the cabin had some great amenities the cleanliness bothered us. I have seen worse but here are a few things we dealt with. 1) We found mouse poop in multiple drawers in bedrooms as well as some in closet and then under one of the guest beds. 2) We did end up coming across a bug on our bed and at first thought it was a bed bug but it was not. It instead was a carpet beetle which also can bite and was something that made us clean every single thing we took with us to the cabin. Not a fun thing to do once you get home from a vacation. We discovered three of these during our stay. We did not find them until our third day and at that point just stayed through the end. 3) The showers had quite a bit of dirt in them and then there was just a lot of dust through the property. The other issue we had was during our check-in. We arrived at the cabin and our code didn’t work but that was solved but while we waited to get that addressed we happened to check the other door on the first floor and it was unlocked. This made us uncomfortable and the wrecker did our due diligence in checking out the property. We did also find out the lower door was also unlocked. All was ok but it did leave my wife and kids unsettled. As I said there were some nice features like the arcade room on top floor. They had a movie theater room as well.
