Secluded Getaway at Wayward Cottage

Located at Gorham's Bluff in Pisgah, enjoy what this 1-bedroom cottage has to offer. This adorable property features a cozy atmosphere that will make guests feel right at home. With 1 queen bed and loft upstairs with 2 twin beds, it's perfect for a small group or family. The cottage boasts excellent amenities such as AC, heating, iron, WiFi, washer/dryer, and a hair dryer. The 2 bathrooms are equipped with everything you need, including a hair dryer and a shower. Whether you're exploring the charming city or simply relaxing in the comfort of the cottage, you're sure to make fantastic memories with a stay at our place.

The space
This cute cottage may be small inside but there is a porch upstairs as well as a porch out back with a hot tub where you can relax and enjoy the great outdoors while sip your sweet tea or have morning coffee and enjoy the view. Inside, enjoy watch an old movie or favorite show on the smart TV. A full kitchen is equipped to make all meals or investigate the many little towns around Pisgah or (Scottsboro which is 30 mins away) to eat. Outside, there are hiking and biking trails all around Gorham’s Bluff.

A community pool is just next door and during the summer months it’s open until 10:00 pm. A children’s playground for the little ones to play on is located right outside the iron fence of the pool cabana. Enjoy some peace and quiet from your noisy, busy life, up here on the mountain.

NOTE: Please note that the gas fireplaces are non-operational at this time.

Guest access
You would have access to the entire cottage and outdoor space. There is a gas grill, washer and dryer for your convenience. There is a hiking trail along the bluff edge for taking a sunset walk.

There are several things to do around Gorham's Bluff, whether you're up for an adventure, or prefer to lazily take in the area: Henagar Drive-In Movie Theater, Walls of Jericho hiking trail, Scottsboro Unclaimed Baggage Center (similar to a fancy version of a thrift store comprised of unclaimed items from travelers) Buck’s Pocket State Park, Cathedral Caverns State Park, Little River Canyon National Preserve, Pisgah Gorge, Russell Cave National Monument, Sauta Cave National Wildlife Refuge, Stephen’s Gap Cave, etc. Day trips are a breeze when you're staying at Wayward Cottage as Mentone, Alabama and Chattanooga are less than an hour's drive away.
