Due to a last minute booking glitch the previous day and despite multiple attempts to call the reservations line and not getting through to the correct service or being disconnected. My daughter was left off my original booking I made directly with the resort. This was on Dec 23rd. I thought we would rectify this and pay the difference when we got to the hotel but front desk staff told me I would have to make an entire new booking (and an additional room) for my daughter who is 16 and that because reservations is located in Spain and closed early for holiday Dec 24th, it was not available to add her to my existing reservation and told me to book through Expedia. The Expedia booking process was good. After having to pay an astronomical amount and booking a second room that we did not use we were given our room. Immediately upon entering the resort we noticed very few guests. The front lobby was much as I remembered it from two years ago, even updated. But once we entered the resort grounds itself, we were disappointed to see that it appeared somewhat run down and neglected. The room we were given was also updated but had an open concept glass bathroom that lacked privacy and disturbed the other person as the lights shone through to the sleeping area when someone used it at night. On our last night we had a very disturbing and scary experience in which we were targeted and followed by three men and made to feel intimidated. I am also reporting this incident directly.
