Communication with Sandra was very good. The photos of the apartment are accurate.The apartment was clean and comfortable with a good range of utensils in the kitchen. The apartment is on a very narrow busy little street so getting in and out of the garage was a bit stressful. Given the central location, we would not hire a car in future. We could hear no traffic noise from the apartment. There is a good little supermarket “ Supermercado Manteiga” a few minutes walk from the apartment.We can recommend this apartment and would not hesitate to stay here again.

simple & charming indeed

S&C is in perfect location in the historic center of PD
so walkable in minutes to everything. Underground parking was such a bonus. Apartment was modern, clean, spacious, and had all amenities we needed. The outside patio was huge and the view over the historic rooftops to the old clock tower and beyond to the ocean was lovely. Hosts were very accommodating and accessible. HIGHLY recommend

Amazing Vacation Rental

Our group (2 couples) loved staying at this apartment! It is nicely decorated and the owners added many nice touches to enhance our stay (such as the blanket ladder in the bathroom, makeup mirror and a bottle of wine upon arrival). The location is perfect, easily walkable to restaurants/shops, while also centrally located for exploring the rest of the island. Getting into/out of the parking garage was nerve-wracking (we're not used to driving/parking in such tight spaces). Highly recommend!

A superb apartment located in old town only 4-5 blocks from ocean. Very clean, everything you need is provided and has a great large deck for eating and lounging. Highly recommended!

The Perfect Hosts and Location

Sandra and Nuno could not have been more gracious hosts. They were responsive to our messages and questions. We received clear instructions for check in and check out. The apartment was centrally located in Ponta Delgada and within walking distance of markets, restaurants, shops and the waterfront. Especially helpful was use of the garage for parking. Sandra and Nuno were very flexible with our check-in time, which was especially helpful as our flight landed quite early in the morning. I know they can't always be that flexible, but when they can, it is especially welcoming. The apartment was clean and welcoming. The balcony/patio was a special place for us to have breakfast in the morning or a glass of wine in the afternoon. Ponta Delgada was a good "home base" from which to explore the rest of the Island. I would highly recommend this apartment and would have no hesitation in booking it again. Thank you Sandra and Nuno for your kindness and hospitality.

Perfect Apartment for anyone visiting the island.

Perfect location, a short walk to just about everything you’d want to see in Ponta Delgada: the waterfront, city gates, restaurants, museums, churches, etc. are right down the street. Easy in and out of the city if you have a car - must if you want to explore the island. Garage parking is a big plus - just be aware that city streets are VERY narrow and confusing. City traffic is heavy at times, but most drivers are courteous, so patience is a virtue. The listing photos don’t do the apartment justice. It’s spacious and impeccably, yet comfortably furnished.. The washer/dryer combo works perfectly for small loads and we used it often. Another big plus is the fully furnished private outdoor space with an incredible view of the city. Our hosts were also perfect, helping us out when we got a little lost coming from the airport. Note that GPS apps are very good for getting around the island, but not perfect within the city. Overall, a five star experience.

Lovely Stay in Ponta Delgada

The property was exactly as shown— clean, well-appointed, and with beautiful views of the water. In addition, the location was great. We were able to walk to shops and restaurants nearby. The apartment was perfect for our family as we were able to have breakfasts and some meals at home. Our children liked being able to spend time in the living room after long days of touring the island. Also, we rented a car, and there was a reserved spot for the apartment, which was an added bonus. Sandra and Nuno are exceptional hosts. They are quick to respond to e-mails. I had many questions prior to our arrival and they were always very prompt to answer. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Outstanding, Centrally Located Unit

Couldn't have been happier with choosing this property for our stay in Sao Miguel. Location: The unit is in the heart of the island's capital. The area includes historic buildings, walkable shops, restaurants, cafes and parks. We felt safe in walking around the city in all hours of the day or evening. It is centrally located to connect to highways to get to other towns or scenic areas. And there were a few times where we didn't feel like driving to a restaurant for dinner, so it was nice to have so many cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Property's Building: The building was one of the few in Ponta Delgada that was completely renovated inside and out, including the parking garage. It is difficult to find parking in the city, so the parking space which is tied to this unit was a great benefit. The actual apartment unit was just as described in the listing. It was renovated, modern, and roomy enough for two couples to live in comfortably. The patio had furniture to dine and relax; it was very large and private with spectacular views. We drank our coffee and listened to the church bells chime! The unit was quiet throughout the day and night; never heard neighbors or street noise, considering living in a city. It was extremely clean and because we stayed eight days, the owners had the cleaning service clean the unit during our stay and provided us with fresh linens and towels. The Hosts: Sandra and Nuno are wonderful hosts. This was our first visit to Sao Miguel, and they were of great help in answering our questions about the island and making suggestions on things to do. Communication was timely and thorough. We would highly recommend renting this unit.
