Welcome to Family Tides located in Barefoot Cottages, a gated community in Port St. Joe Florida. Family Tides offers family friendly accommodations with two community pools, charcoal grilling stations, and easy beach access less than 1 mile away. Just North of Highway 98, Barefoot Cottages is less than three minutes from Downtown Port St. Joe! Family Tides now allows 2 dogs with a weight limit of 40lb.

Family Tides offers accommodations for 4 with two bedrooms and 2.5 baths. The first floor is the main living area with sleeping arrangements on the second level. The living room offers comfortable seating and great natural lighting, with a large flat screen television, Firestick Streaming, and highspeed WiFi. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, utensils, and all major appliances. Stone countertops, stainless farmhouse sink, and modern subway tile decorate the kitchen. The dining area offers seating for 4 with additional seating at the kitchen bar. The half bath is conveniently provided with full laundry. Family Tides offers the best of outdoor living with two screened in porches, complete with alfresco dining options.

The second floor offers two bedrooms, both with attached bathrooms. The primary bedroom offers a king bed, ceiling fan, cable television and attached bath with walk-in shower. The second floor balcony, off the primary bedroom, offers a dry bar with mini fridge! Whether morning coffee or afternoon cocktails, watching the cotton candy skies turn to night, the screened porches provide a cozy place to lounge. The guest bedroom is adjacent, across the hall, with a queen bed, ceiling fan, Firestick television, and attached bathroom with shower/tub combination.

Perfect little getaway spot. Literally a 2 minute drive to beach. Great pools on site. The cottage has pretty much everything you need. Right by the gated entrance, yet quiet and safe. A short drive to shops, stores, restaurants in “downtown” Port St. Joe. Just beware there are steep steps to get to the bedrooms. But all in all, we really enjoyed our stay and would stay again if we ever find ourselves in the area.

Beach Labor Day 2024

The property was in a very good neighborhood and was very clean. I was disappointed with the essentials the house had. They only give you one roll of paper towels and we were there from Friday to Monday with 4 adults and 1 child. Also, one roll of toilet paper for the bathrooms, no washer machine pods, only 2 trash bags. The tv was very difficult to work and you could not turn the air below 72 even tho it is 100 degrees outside. I was also not a fan of many signs all over the house saying that you will be charged for stained linens. With one roll of paper towels, if something is spilt then you will be charged if you use a towel if it stains it. None of the Tv volume remotes worked, and if you plan on staying I highly recommend to bring your own shower towel. The towels that are provided are very small, almost like a stepping towel for the outside of shower.

Better than we could have imagined!!!

We came to town to check on my mom and decided to stay here! Loved that it was a gated community and super-easy to get to! The place was super cute and cozy! The king size bed was the 2nd best bed I have EVER slept on (the 1st being my bed at home)! We really enjoyed the screened in porches! Communication was AMAZING!!! The entire experience was FANTASTIC!!!! You should absolutely stay here!!!

Easy in and out . Nicely decorated, well-furnished, including large washer and dryer. Great location between Mexico Beach and Port St Joe, with easy access to beaches. You can’t beat this location for easy access to such amazing state parks and restaurants. Both bedrooms are upstairs, and each has private full bath. Master has softer queen mattress, walk-in shower, and nice screened-in porch with swing and refrigerator; other bedroom has /full bed with firmer mattress, and bathtub/shower combo. Hosts very easy to communicate with. Would definitely return.

Great Getaway In PSJ

This is a relatively new condo development and is just next door to Port St Joe. It's a perfect location because you're not in the middle of everything yet minutes away. The condo has a spacious downstairs living/kitchen/dining area and nice sized bedrooms. Unit was clean and cool upon check in. Enjoyed the covered/screened patio areas. A great getaway location.

July 4th Vacation

We LOVED the house. This is our 2nd stay at The Barefoot Cottages so we already loved the neighborhood. The only things I'd say that would have improved our stay would be.....there is a serious need for a 2nd ottoman in the living room and to deep clean the downstairs hard floors. My feet were black after walking on them for a short time so we wore shoes the rest of the time. Other than those 2 things, we were extremely happy!! We hope to visit again next year!
