I was disappointed with this booking experience. The website stated that check-in instructions would be provided three days prior, but I never received them and had to contact customer service because I was unable to reach the host. Response times were consistently slow.More concerning, the host was aware of intermittent plumbing issues for at least two weeks but failed to disclose this before our arrival. Upon check-in, we discovered that the shower would not drain and the toilet was backed up. Multiple attempts to fix it with a plunger were unsuccessful.When I messaged the host, it took over an hour to receive a response. She stated she had tried to send a message earlier that day about the issue, but we never received anything. By the next morning, the problem had worsened significantly, with water overflowing and the entire house smelling of raw sewage. The only response we received was that it was “out of her control.”To make matters worse, we were refunded less than half of the total cost, which did not reflect the severity of the situation or the impact on our stay.The last message sent was asking for a reason why we weren’t issued a full refund and we never received a response. This is extremely disappointing and poor communication on the host. I was surprised since the previous reviews didn’t mention any issues.
