Beth's Place - On the River - W/ Hot Tub, Pickleball Court & Putting Green

Beth's Place - celebrating 10 years in business in 2024 - offers complete privacy on the ground floor of our home. It includes a cozy bedroom with a queen-size bed, a spacious living room with a queen-size sleeper sofa, a well-equipped kitchen with all the essentials for meal preparation, a dining area, and even a gas grill for outdoor cooking. The space also features a nice full bathroom with a tub/shower, towels, basic toiletries, a private entrance, and ample parking. Additionally, we can arrange two twin beds in the living room, accommodating up to 6 guests comfortably. There is a washer and dryer in the unit for convenience.

Guests will enjoy two private outdoor areas – one facing the putting green and pickleball court (installed 9/2023) in the front and another at the back with a grill, hot tub, and a river view. The hot tub is open year-round and is exclusively for the current guests of the unit. Our other unit, Beth's Place II, also has its own private hot tub. The igloo in the backyard is open year-round and shared with guests of the other unit, featuring string lights, seating, and a heater for colder months.

Beth's Place II is situated on the same property as Beth's Place, offering an alternative for different dates or to accommodate more guests.

Please note, we have a small dog on the upper floors of the house who is usually quiet but may bark briefly to announce arrivals.

Our property boasts a putting green and pickleball court in the front yard and access to the Raquette River at the back. The trail to the river has handrails on steep sections. Guests can enjoy kayaks, a fire pit, and a private beach by the river, with a swimmable stretch of the Raquette River (water shoes recommended) leading to downtown Potsdam. Kayaking is available from May to November, and we convert the putting green during snowy months.

We enjoyed our stay at Beth’s Place. The location was very convenient since we were visiting our son at Clarkson. The apartment was spotless and had everything we needed for our weekend stay. The hot tub was nice but unfortunately we didn’t get to enjoying the rest of the outside amenities because it was cold and rainy. We hope to go back when the weather is nicer!

Stayed with family of 4 for ,unfortunately, a short weekend. Still enjoyed all the amenities of this beautiful property, beautiful home, plenty of parking, hot tub w/ complimentary robes, putting green, and professional pickle ball court. Enjoyed kayaking on the glassy river. Easy to book and check out. Exceptionally clean and well stocked. Felt much bigger than the pictures show. Wish it could have been longer. Definitely recommend!

I stayed here with my 3 young children for a short getaway and we had such a wonderful time. While I was ready to take them to do some exploring in town, they didn't want to leave. We pretty much lived on the cute beach they have on the river. Beth is such a beautiful soul and really made our time so enjoyable. We went on the kayaks, relaxed in the hot tub, had a fire every night, played some golf, and my son's personal favorite, caught about 1000 frogs. The kids are already asking when we can go back!

Wonderful access to Potsdam, Canton, & Massena,

This was our family’s first exploration of the Potsdam area. Beth’s Place had great access to the four colleges in the area (all of which we visited), the locks at Massena, and a wonderful hike in Colton. So much to see in the area! The weather didn’t cooperate for us to kayak in April, but the views on the river were exquisite, especially from our private hot tub. The hot tub was one of the draws to this property & the perfect temperature was a great ending to our busy days.Beth’s Place is definitely on our list for our next trip to the area.

Needed a place to stay for an event happening at Clarkson for a family member. It was myself and 4 other adult family members. It was perfect for what we needed and a short distance to the campus.The detailed instructions and recommendations were much appreciated. There was nothing that we needed for while there. All of the amenities for the hot tub were such a nice touch!While we enjoyed our reason for going to Clarkson, we joked we wished we didn’t have to go because we wanted to spend more time at Beth’s because it is such a great spot. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect family get away!

We had so much fun on the river with our girls! Between pickleball, the hot tub, river, and fire pit there was plenty to keep everyone busy while we enjoyed the property. The rooms were clean, the property was quiet. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful slice of heaven

The house was cozy, clean and beautifully decorated. It was fully loaded with everything we needed for our stay with a family of five. But the best part(and the reason we booked) was all the outdoor spaces and amenities. We used all of them from the putting green to the hot tub and fire pit for s’mores and the river access was perfect for kayaking, fishing, swimming and playing sand toys. We caught a lot of fish both from shore and out on the water. It was so peaceful and quiet. We will come back again. Thank you!

Wonderland

The property was close to St. Lawrence, where my daughter goes to school. It offered a nice living area with a full kitchen and laundry. The outdoor space was amazing. An Igloo where we played games while being outside and out of the snowy cold. The hot tub was a great treat after being out in the cold or playing pickleball all day. I was able to hide easter eggs on their gorgeous property, for my daughter, that went from the hot tub down the long path to the river. We felt comfortable taking walks on the property and relaxing with all the wonderful amenities. The host was helpful and friendly. This place was a complete wonderland.

Beth's place is fully stocked with all the necessities and more. Very clean and neat apartment in a quiet location. The leaves had just started to turn, and the view to the river showed a burst of fall foliage (something we never tire of, even being from NH). Beth was super responsive but never intrusive.
