The Experience:

Elevate your Kauai escape at the Hanalei Treehouse, an architectural “pole house” perched high on the Princeville bluff. Designated to live in harmony with the trade winds and the canopy, this free-standing architectural gem features over 30 windows and soaring vaulted ceilings that blur the line between indoors and paradise.

From your two private, southwest-facing covered lanais, you are immersed in a 270-degree gallery of Kauai’s North Shore: emerald mountain peaks, cascading distant waterfalls, and shimmering peaks of Hanalei Bay. Whether you are watching a rainbow arch over the valley or enjoying the sunset glow on the mountains, this is the “Treehouse” life – refined, private, and truly magical.

The Space:

Unlike a standard condo, this is a fully detached home, offering the peace and privacy your retreat deserves.

• The Upper Level: An airy, open-concept living and dining sanctuary designed for gathering. The wrap-around windows ensure you never lose sight of the mountains. This level also includes a convenient half bath.
• The Lower Level: Three serene bedrooms and two full bathrooms, comfortably sleeping 4 to 6 guests. The layout ensures quiet for sleeping.

• Steps Away: A 5-minute stroll leads you to the famous Bali Hai sunset overlook. You are directly across from the path to Hideaways Beach and a short walk to luxury dining and beaches of the nearby 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay.
• Minutes Away: A quick 10-minute drive brings you to the historic charm of Hanalei Town, the iconic pier, and surfing at Pine Trees and Hanalei Bay.
• Adventure Awaits: Use the Treehouse as your basecamp for the Na Pali Coast trails, Princeville’s championship golf courses, and the North Shore‘s best snorkeling.

Beautiful location and view. Clean with lots of space and privacy. Well appointed. Comfy beds and quiet neighborhood. We all slept very well. Plenty of fans and a sea breeze so even in the Summer it was comfortable. No blackout blinds so bring an eye mask if you want to sleep past sunrise.

Small group island stay

Our experience was amazing. There were 6 of us and we all felt this Vrbo was great. This condo is located in a nice area, easy walk to beaches, and views from this spot are priceless. Despite a review I read about the geckos, we all quite enjoyed occasional visits. This is an island after all. The laundry room was useful, there were plenty of towels for us and each room comes with a fan for connivence. We all agreed we would stay again.

A few issues like paint peeling in the kitchen and horrible mattresses in the master bedroom and minor other areas of disrepair. But the location and views were very good. Not much of an ocean view but see a little sliver. The rental was generally clean, bug free (although one night there was some Gekos fighting on the wall, really weird) had plenty of towels and beach accessories to use. Would recommend and stay here again.

Reviewer Comments: I’ve rented homes with Kauai Vacation Rentals for approximately twenty years. Hanalei Bay Villas are fabulous; the views are the best Mountain View’s. I love renting a spacious home with fully equipped kitchens. The properties are very clean being deep cleaned before checking in. The office personnel and property managers provide excellent customer service. The boat tour of the Nepali Coast is one of my favorite activities. Walking in Princeville is safe and delightful along the established paths. There are many wonderful restaurants and landmarks on the North Shore both in Kilauea and Hanalei. I’ve always recommended Kauai Vacation Rentals to friends and relatives and look forward to returning to Kauai.
