Welcome to the Kentucky River Bourbon Cabin! Relax and rejuvenate in this cozy cabin nestled in a wooded setting & on the edge of the Kentucky River! Here you will find peace and serenity in nature with an upfront view of the water. Secluded and private yet still close to stores, restaurants and many tourist attractions such as major distilleries and wineries. Four Roses, Wild Turkey, Woodford Reserve and Buffalo Trace are just a short drive away.

This newly renovated cabin features modern amenities, new furniture, beautiful décor and ample outdoor entertainment space. Even though you are in the middle of the woods, you won’t be roughing it at all! The house is well appointed with 2 bedrooms, one with a king size bed and one with a queen size bed. (Bathroom is on 1st floor near queen bedroom). Perfect for one or two couples traveling together, a friends getaway, or a family of four who need some quality time!

Come enjoy your morning coffee in your choice of settings - front porch with a woodsy view and porch swing, shady rear screened in porch or sunny outside rear deck both with a spectacular view of the river! Sun bathe on the comfy lounge chairs and dine on your freshly grilled meats you just cooked on the provided gas grill. At night enjoy some quality bonding time with your friends or family around the firepit after a dip in the hot tub. Firewood provided!

Amenities in the fully stocked kitchen include filtered water through the refrigerator, dishwasher, electric stove and microwave. Small appliances are also included such as a blender, crock pot, waffle iron and toaster. A coffee pot with both a Keurig and a standard size pot is provided as well as k-cups, sweeteners, creamers and tea. Paper towels, dish cloth, dish rag, dish towel, dish soap, zip lock bags, salt, pepper, cooking oil, spice rack and napkins also provided. Need round ice cubes for the bourbon you just purchased? No problem! Our freezer makes round ice cubes perfect to keep your bourbon or iced tea nice and cold! Bourbon glasses are in the cupboard too!

In the living room you will find a high definition 68 inch TV with Dish Network and access to log into your favorite streaming platforms. Other DVD’s are kept on site as well as plenty of board games and puzzles.

Bedrooms include TV’s, plenty of outlets and USB ports to charge all of your devices, as well as alarm clocks that have a built-in white noise machine. Choose from soothing sounds such as rainfall, ocean waves, nature or static. You are sure to get a good night’s sleep on the new comfy memory foam mattresses with cooling covers and breathable sheets. Like it dark? Room darkening shades will help you sleep in as late as you want!

Bathroom includes personalized sizes of shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and soap and first aid kit. Other necessities are provided just in case you forget something at home! Make up remover wipes, cotton swabs, cotton pads, hair bands, floss, feminine hygiene products and an extra toothbrush can be found for your convenience. The house also features a tankless water heater which means endless hot water for all showers!
Need to do laundry or dry those hot tub towels quickly? A washer and dryer is provided as well as a starter supply of detergent, oxy clean, stain remover and dryer sheets.

The screened in porch features a bar area with bar tools, bar stools, comfy cushioned seating area, fan and a blue tooth speaker to play your favorite tunes!

Outside you will find a 4 person hot tub, gas cooking grill, lounge chairs, dining table, seating area, propane fire table on deck, fire pit area in yard and hammock. Corn Hole game is also provided for friendly competitions. Bug spray and sunscreen also provided for your convenience!

Private and wooded with only a few neighbors down the road on each side and a few across the river.

Driveway has space for 4 regular size cars. House is car dependent to get to.

* King size bed is located on the 2nd floor and there is not a bathroom on this level. Bathroom is located on 1st floor near the bedroom with queen size bed.

The cabin is located on a single lane winding road that meanders through the woods and runs along beautiful creeks. Please use caution with oncoming cars, there are a few blind curves. You may have to pull over into the grass to allow other cars to pass. Speed limit is 10 miles per hour on the winding part. There are some houses along the way with pets that lay in the road. Please use caution and watch out for animals!

In the winter the road tends to flood. There are two directions to access the property. When one direction floods you may have to enter and exit through the other direction. If both directions are predicted to flood your reservation may be cut short, delayed or cancelled. Host subscribes to the river level alerts and will be able to notify you of such occurrences. Purchasing travel insurance is highly recommended.

Cell phone coverage may be spotty. Host will make sure guests have the wifi password before arriving so they may connect in case they have any issues entering the house. You may also press the Ring doorbell and host can unlock door for you.

WIFI - We just upgraded to Starlink internet which is 163 mbps, so pretty fast! Great for zoom video calls and streaming platforms.

Pests – you are in the middle of nature next to a river. Pests may get in especially if the doors are left open. Although we regularly have the house treated by a professional pest control company - flies, stink bugs, bees, mosquitos, spiders and lizards, etc., may sneak their way into the house. There also have been other critters seen outside on the property such as deer, raccoons, opossums, foxes, mice and snakes. Money will not be refunded if any natural critters are seen inside or outside on the property.

Your cooperation is appreciated as it ensures that our cabin remains a beautiful place for all our guests and we ask that you kindly respect these rules.

Accepting our house rules puts you in charge of your behavior. Breaking any house rules can terminate your reservation without refund and you may incur fines and charge for breaking these rules. Please read them carefully.


CHECK IN AND OUT

You can self check in and out with the door keypad. A code will be provided to you the day of check in.
Check in time is 4:00 pm and check out is 11:00 am.

CANCELLATIONS

We have a strict cancellation policy. Cancellations can be made within 48 hours of the reservation with no penalty. We suggest all our guest purchase travel insurance through American Express or Travel Guard to protect every aspect of your stay.

Only the registered number of guests are allowed on the property during your stay. Absolutely no parties, even quiet ones.

NO PETS

We love our furry, scaly and feathered friends but please leave them at home with a responsible party.

NO SWIMMING PERMITTED in the river. The river is not a lake and therefore the currents tend to be more swift and there may be hazardous debris. If you enter the water you do so at your own risk and the owner of property is not liable for any injuries or deaths that may occur. Parents must monitor children at all times to make sure they do not fall into the water.

NO BOAT RAMP ON PROPERTY

There is also not a boat ramp or floating dock on the property. The nearest public boat ramp is 6.9 miles away. The property would not be suitable to launch any watercraft.

NO SMOKING OR ILLEGAL DRUGS

No smoking or vaping of anything is permitted inside the house. No illegal drugs permitted on the property whatsoever. Smoking of cigarettes can be done outside away from the house. Please do not smoke on the front porch or the screened porch, you may however smoke on the outside deck. Guests must dispose of their cigarette butts responsibly and not leave on the deck or property.

NO CANDLES OR OPEN FLAMES IN HOUSE

Flameless candles are provided throughout the house. Please feel free to use them but turn them off when not in use to preserve the batteries.

NO EATING AND DRINKING IN THE BEDS

To protect the bedding and mattresses we ask that you eat in any other area of the house. Water on the bedside table is fine, but please use the provided coaster to protect the wood.

NO DYEING HAIR

Please do not dye hair or use any other materials that may permanently stain fixtures, floors, countertops, etc. in the house.

NO HANGING FROM WOOD BEAMS IN LIVING ROOM

Wood beams in the living room are not weight bearing and may break or fall in if someone tries to hang from them.
