Ocean Soul Bungalow is a private 2-bedroom retreat inside the gated Palmetto Bay community, with a car and airport pickup available so you're never dependent on taxis to get here or explore the island.

The Space
Ocean Soul Bungalow sits on a quiet road within Palmetto Bay, a short stroll from the beach. It's one half of a duplex — the other unit is occupied seasonally by the owner and never rented, so you'll have full privacy. Inside, island-style architecture meets modern comfort: air conditioning in both bedrooms, ceiling fans throughout, a fully equipped kitchen with a full-size fridge and stove, flat-screen TVs in the living room and each bedroom, fast Wi-Fi, a programmable safe, and 24-hour community security.

Palmetto Bay is a gated, eco-friendly beach community on Roatan's north shore, built around nature preserve trails, a beachfront pool, and direct beach access — private, secluded, and free of vendors or crowds.

Dive Shop:
Scuba Roatan, our on-site dive operator, runs two boat dives a day depending on demand, plus snorkeling trips and custom requests like fishing charters. Whether you're already certified or want to get certified during your stay, their team handles equipment, dive trips, and certification courses — no need to leave the property to gear up.

The Cove Restaurant:
Grab a meal or a drink at our on-site restaurant and bar, with ocean views and a menu of local and international dishes.

Pool:
Cool off at the beachfront community pool, steps from the bungalow.

Roatan Brewery:
A short walk away, with local craft beer and a laid-back jungle vibe.

Beach Access:
Step outside onto a secluded stretch of sand — no crowds, no solicitors, just your own patch of Caribbean coastline.

Use of the Car

Airport pickup and use of a car are available: $60/day, or $45/day for stays of 3+ days. It's a 2018 Ford Escape SEL, seats up to 5, and gives you the freedom to explore the island on your own schedule.

Use of Electricity

Electricity is expensive on the island, so most rentals (including ours) bill it separately. Your rate includes a daily allowance of 30 kWh; usage above that is billed at $0.40/kWh, based on meter readings at arrival and departure. Using AC only when needed, and switching off fans and lights when you leave a room, keeps this cost minimal.

Know Before You Book

Palmetto Bay is a growing private community, and a nearby home is currently under construction. Work typically starts around 7:00 AM, so you may hear some daytime activity.
