The Space:

Step inside Cat’s Cradle and enjoy a bright, spacious cabin crafted with warm natural wood and plenty of room for everyone to unwind. The main living area feels open and inviting, with large windows, cozy seating, and a fireplace perfect for relaxing after a day of hiking or climbing. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals while taking in the surrounding forest views.



This cabin comfortably sleeps up to eight guests, offering three private bedrooms—each with a queen bed—and one featuring its own en suite bathroom for added comfort. Upstairs, the loft provides extra hangout space with a full-size pullout futon and a ping pong table, making it ideal for families and groups.



Step out onto the spacious screened-in back deck, where you can enjoy the outdoors completely bug-free. Fire up the propane grill for dinner, dine outside, or unwind in the hot tub, tucked into the deck and surrounded by the peaceful sounds of the forest.

Guest Access:

Guests have full access to the entire cabin and all outdoor spaces during their stay. This includes the main living area, fully equipped kitchen, all three private bedrooms, loft, bathrooms, and the screened-in back deck with the hot tub and propane grill. Parking is available onsite, and no spaces are shared. The cabin is exclusively yours to enjoy—spread out, relax, and make yourself at home in total privacy.



The Neighborhood:

Cat’s Cradle is located in the Shawnee Run neighborhood, a quiet and convenient area that keeps you close to everything the Red River Gorge has to offer. This central location makes it easy to reach popular attractions, scenic trailheads, local dining, and essential amenities within minutes. It’s the perfect balance of peaceful surroundings and quick access to all your RRG adventures.



Getting Around:

While Cat's Cradle offers a secluded escape, it's conveniently located with easy access to the area's main attractions. Public transportation options are limited in this rural area, so having a car is recommended. Free parking is available on-site for multiple vehicles. The cabin is approximately a 1.5-hour drive from Lexington, KY, which offers regional airport access. Please note that ride-sharing services may have limited availability in the Red River Gorge area.

• Please ensure to enter a VALID and operational phone number into your account/ reservation as all of your information regarding your stay will be texted to your phone. Thank you!

•Each cabin is unique to specific items they include, however, RRG Getaways supplies the listed items below at all cabins as a baseline for guests. A starter amount of the following: hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, dish soap, dish pods, laundry pods, and basic cleaning supplies. Any additional items needed will be the guest's responsibility to supply. We do not supply anything considered perishable or consumable, this includes but is not limited to, coffee, salt, pepper, oil and the like.



- This cabin does not have potable water, but it is safe for washing and cooking. Guests are asked to bring their own drinking water.

- This property has a Kureig coffee maker.

- Shampoo, conditioner and body wash are provided.

- Firewood is not provided.

- Propane is provided for the use of the grill and fireplace.

- Smoking of any kind is strictly prohibited in the cabin.

- We charge a flat pet fee of $50 for up to two pets. Please be sure to add any pets to your reservation. If you do not see where to do so, reach out to us so we can apply our pet fee.
