Two miles of country road following the contours of Brushy Creek through the Piney Woods of Bastrop County lead you to the seclusion of this lovely home. Rock Hill Ranch provides an amazing 3 story 4,000 SQUARE FOOT home and is surrounded by 2 acres of serene gardens and expansive lawns. It is located in the middle of an 800 acre working cattle ranch and guests are invited to explore wooded trails which radiate in all directions. The deep, shaded porch which wraps the home offers stunning views. The sunlit, second story Master suite provides a large attached full bath and plenty of closet space. A private balcony invites cool evening stargazing or watching the sun rise over the distant hills. Two other bedrooms are located on the second floor. Adelaide's room is cozy and serene with a relaxed feel. It accomidates two with an ample double bed and bathroom next door.
The third floor of this spacious home has one room that is perfect for younger members of the family. A sunset loft over looks the large second story family room where there is a beautiful Rumford fire place.
The open first floor invites large gatherings, leasurly conversations and shared meals. If you want Anna to prepare breakfast for you( at an additional cost of $22 pre person) it will include homade breads, local honeys and jams, fresh in seasion fruits and vegetables from her organic garden, eggs gathered from the farm hens, bacon, coffee and a variety of herbal hot teas.
A stroll through Anna's garden is a feast for the eyes. Grassy paths beckon you through flowers, fruit trees and wonderful organic produce. There are benches throughout the garden perfict for rest and reflection. Grab an early morning cup of coffee and watch the butterflies. There are several places to have an evening fire and roast marshmallows. Guests are invited into the greenhouse were Anna is growing succulents, herbs, rose bushes and a wide variety of flowers.
Rock Hill Ranch is located 20 miles from historic Bastrop. There you will find good shopping, great food, live music and the Colorado River. The River lends itself to a day of fishing, walking down Bastrops beautiful river walk, or you can rent a canoe and paddle for miles. Smithville is only 16 miles away and is the filming location for the movies " Hope Floats" and "The Tree of Life". Austin-Bergstrom International Airport is 36 miles away. The Circuit of The Americas - Home of theFormula 1 Grand Prix. Lockhart the barbecue capital of Texas is close enough to make your mouth water. Gonzales home of the “Come and Take It” is just to our south.

If you are wanting to host an event that is larger than 15 people please make arrangements at least 30 days prior to your arrival. Prices will vary depending upon the event, such as family reunions, Quinceañeras or Weddings.
