The space
A spacious, modern country home - 3 bedrooms 2.5 baths 1700 sq ft - located in the town of Roscoe, NY - just two hours north of New York City. This charming 1800s antique farmhouse has been fully renovated and luxuriously appointed with a modern English farmhouse vibe - high ceilings on the main floor, chef's kitchen, wood burning stove in the living room, clawfoot tub in the ensuite master bathroom - all coming together to create the perfect space for couples, friends or family to gather. The home features all the modern amenities (Apple TV, bluetooth speakers, reliable super high-speed cable internet (200+Mbps download, 20+Mbps upload) for your Zoom/Google Meet/video conferences) you need to stay connected and curated for your enjoyment with a selection of design books, games, puzzles and more houseplants than seems reasonable.

The bounty of "outdoor living" areas on this 22+ acre property really make this place feel magical; a stone patio for your morning coffee or summer evenings outside, a screened gazebo for afternoon games, a trickling spring fed pond, several short trails on the property including ones lined with blueberry bushes!!, and last but not least, a woodsy fire pit area for roasting marshmallows and endless stargazing.

Truly Special Catskills Oasis

If you're looking for tranquility, beauty, privacy, and comfort, this home is not to be missed. I was so impressed at how thoughtfully Hide and Sansan have designed this really special home. It was clean, fresh, and inviting, with so much thoughtful attention to detail. As a frequent home away traveler, I can pretty easily spot the owners who have done the bare minimum and the ones who have gone above and beyond. This home was certainly above and beyond - impeccable and so appreciated. Communication was excellent, prompt, and helpful. House amenities were generous and complete. The home was beautiful, comfortable, and incredibly clean. As someone who enjoys cooking, the kitchen was amazingly well stocked and prepared. A thoughtful welcome gift was awaiting us (so appreciated, thank you!). The home felt safe, private, and tranquil. And the area was great fun - we explored restaurants, distilleries, hiking, swimming, antiques, etc. Lots of great options within ~10 minutes. I think the value for this property can't be beat and would happily stay here again any time I'm in the area. Many thanks for an excellent stay!

This is so lovely

This property is beautiful. It is set on many acres of secluded land. It is perfect for peace and listening to birds, and catching sightings of deer. The house itself is beautifully decorated and the owners have thought of so many neat touches around the house. I loved, loved the decor. There are lots of comfortable spaces to sit outside as well. We stayed with our 13 year old and 9 year old. We played games in the screened in gazebo on a rainy day. We took day trips into town and found great shops and restaurants. It was all very perfect and we hope to be back!

Peaceful farmhouse stay

We enjoyed our stay so much. We were here on and off for a month. The owners have put such a lot of thought into everything to ensure guests feel welcome and comfortable. They are incredibly responsive to questions. We were able to both work comfortably from the house (once wifi was upgraded). We especially enjoyed making fires in the wood burning stove on cool nights, cooking dinner in the kitchen, and riding our bikes along Tenannah Lake and Lake Muskoday. Oh and watching various woodland creatures. Our alarm clock was the resident woodpecker. :) I would say this is the best VRBO experience we’ve had so far. The only thing that took getting used to was the small fridge in the kitchen but that wasn’t hard for us since we are only two people, and there is a larger one in the basement. I would stay here again in a heartbeat … in fact, I think I need to make that happen. Thank you, Hide and Sansan.
