And while The Highland feels wonderfully elevated and tucked away, the beach is only moments from your door. Head down from Takutai Terrace along Golf Links Road and, within minutes, you can be standing on one of Hokitika’s most peaceful stretches of remote coastline. The south side beach feels beautifully remote and untouched, making it perfect for long walks, fresh sea air, and quiet moments beside the Tasman Sea. There are also some lovely little bush walks nearby, so you can easily move between coast, native greenery, and the comforts of home.

Perched high on the ridge just four minutes from Hokitika township, The Highland - Sunset Ridge was designed to make the most of its incredible outlook.
