The Neighborhood:
This rural village is located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and is only a few minutesâ walk from Penrhyn Bay on the lovely north-west coastline of Anglesey. Within two miles is Sandy Beach; as its name suggests, this is a beautiful long sandy beach, which is backed by dunes. This mile-long beach is ideal for safe bathing, windsurfing, surfing, sea canoeing and sailing, and between Easter and the end of October it has a shop, cafĂ© and bistro open to the public. Wales' only working windmill is within easy reach, while the surrounding countryside and coastline provide excellent fishing, bird watching, scenic walks along the Coastal Path, biking and climbing. Enjoy golf courses, Anglesey Sea Zoo, the historic town of Beaumaris with its medieval castle and array of shops and restaurants, an exciting boat fishing trip or Plas Newydd NT mansion and gardens. Wonderful Snowdonia and even a day trip to Ireland are both close by. An exciting all-year-round holiday location.
