The Benedictine Monastery Quarr Abbey is also nearby and offers a lovely day out learning about the monks and their daily lives, and you can also visit the tea garden and enjoy tea and cakes made using locally sourced ingredients. Take a ride on a vintage steam train all the way from Wootton to Haventreet on the Isle of Wight Steam Railway, or take a trip down to the Victorian town of Ryde.
