The Oak Haus ~ TX Hill Country escape with hot tub and game room!

Welcome to The Oak Haus-a hidden gem nestled within the Texas Hill Country in Boerne, TX. This fully renovated guest house sits on an 11.5 acre estate that includes an abundance of mature Live Oak trees and different types of Texas wildlife. The Oak Haus has a private fenced yard with a lighted walkway that takes you to the front door of the cottage. Inside you will find a cozy room that includes a comfortable living area, dining table with seating for 6, and a fully stocked kitchen with new full size stainless steel appliances and butcher block counters. Our living room is equipped with a 75 inch flat screen smart TV with Roku. We provide YouTubeTV for live streaming including our local channels and most nationally broadcast stations. You can also sign into any app with your own account. We have high speed fiber optic internet which makes streaming a breeze!

The first guest room includes a queen bed and flat screen smart TV. Our primary suite has a separate seating area for private enjoyment of a flat screen smart TV that will rotate around for viewing from the king size bed. We have a dedicated workstation in this room that includes a phone charging mat and usb power strip. There is also a large dresser and portable hanging/storage rack for all of your clothing and personal items.

We have a unique set up with our bathrooms where the primary suite and the common area both have access to their own half baths. Each of those has a locking door that connects to a room with a gorgeous walk in tiled shower. The common half bath also includes a full size stacking washer/dryer for all of your laundry needs.

Off of the kitchen is a door that leads to our covered back patio. Relax in the oversized rocking chairs while taking in views of the Texas Hill Country. We also have a 6 seater brand hot tub where you can truly enjoy some RNR on your vacation. Outside activities include horseshoes, cornhole game, and a fire pit. We also have a community basketball court for our guests and family to use.

Need some indoor fun to escape the heat? Our private game room located inside the yard of the Oak Haus is fully loaded with fun options. We have 6 arcade games including Terminator 2, NBA Jam, Golden Tee, Fast and Furious, Mortal Kombat, and a Paw Patrol game for the kiddos. Other activities in the game room include a flat screen smart TV, foosball, giant jenga, connect 4, and more. We have a pub style table and chairs and other comfortable seating as well.

The Oak Haus also offers a truly unbeatable location. Main Street Boerne is around 7 minutes away, with a multitude of shops and restaurants to enjoy. For the live music lover, Luckenbach is a straight shot about 20 minutes north from the Oak Haus. The quaint town of Sisterdale is 7 minutes north and offers a wonderful BBQ restaurant - Black Board BBQ, Sister Creek Winery, Sisterdale Distilling Company and a lovely scenic drive.

The Oak Haus is within minutes of several wedding venues and wineries/vineyards. Also Fredericksburg is about a 30 minute drive with an even more impressive array of shops, wineries and breweries.

Public access to the Guadalupe River is right off Sisterdale Road and is only 5 minutes away.

Our main house is not occupied full time, but we do like to come and stay frequently. Guests will have access to the guesthouse, the area around the guesthouse and can enjoy leisurely walks around the property. The main house is for owner use only. The barn is a separate rental that may have guests. Please note that we do have Ring security cameras monitoring some exterior areas. Please also note there might be construction on the property however our land is large enough that this should have minimal impacts to our guests.
