The house itself is nice and newly remodeled, and it is conveniently located near downtown and the Coronado area. Unfortunately, our overall experience was very disappointing.The property is not located in a residential area; it is in a business area directly on a busy street, and a bar is located across the street. If you are hoping to sleep normally, that will be very difficult. On our first night, the bar was blasting loud music until around 2:00 AM, and there was also significant noise from the upstairs tenant walking around late into the night. We were unable to get any meaningful sleep.There were also issues with preparedness and cleanliness. The host had the wrong check-in date and believed we were arriving a day later, so the house was not properly prepared when we arrived. Basic items such as soap, shampoo, and dish soap were missing. In addition, the coffee pot had visible mold inside, which was concerning.On the second day, the host came to the property and initially scolded us for âchecking in early.â Although he later realized the mistake was his and apologized, the interaction was very uncomfortable and unpleasant.We were in San Diego because my son was competing in a sporting event, and adequate rest was critical. After losing an entire night of sleep, we could not risk another sleepless night negatively affecting his performance. As a result, we had no choice but to check out early and lose money.
