The Space:

Artsy Flat is a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom eclectic apartment in the vibrant heart of Santurce, Puerto Rico. Ideal for families, friends, or business travelers, this stylish retreat offers comfort and all the amenities needed for a memorable stay. Santurce is known for its art, music, and diverse cuisine, much of which is within walking distance or a short ride away.



The unit includes a washer and dryer, perfect for extended stays.



IMPORTANT NOTE: NO ELEVATOR



THIS BUILDING DOES NOT HAVE AN ELEVATOR. ACCESS TO ALL FLOORS IS BY STAIRS ONLY. THIS UNIT IS LOCATED ON THE 3RD FLOOR AND REQUIRES APPROXIMATELY 14 STEPS PER FLOOR TO REACH. GUESTS WITH MOBILITY CONCERNS SHOULD PLAN ACCORDINGLY.

THERE ARE NO 24-HOUR PARKING GARAGES NEARBY, AND STREET PARKING IS LIMITED AND OFTEN DIFFICULT TO FIND, ESPECIALLY DURING PEAK HOURS. WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND USING UBER INSTEAD OF RENTING A CAR. PLEASE CONTACT US BEFORE BOOKING IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS.



LIVING AREAS



Relax in the spacious living area with comfortable seating and a large TV. Step onto the balcony to enjoy the city views. The living and dining areas are connected, making the space ideal for relaxing and socializing. An AC unit in the kitchen helps cool the living spaces.



SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS



Artsy Flat features three bedrooms, each with a queen bed, blackout curtains, and air conditioning. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, while the second bathroom is located in the hallway. The second bedroom also has a flat-screen TV.



PACK AND PLAY (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY): We can leave a complimentary Pack and Play at the property upon request. This should be requested upon booking or no later than 5 days before arrival. Pack and Plays are subject to availability.



KITCHEN



Artsy Flat has a modern kitchen with stone countertops, white cabinetry, cooking pots, pans, and utensils. It includes a full-size refrigerator, microwave, 4-burner stovetop, oven, toaster, and coffee maker. Counter seating is available for 3 guests.



GETTING AROUND



We recommend using Uber when staying within the San Juan/Metro area. If you rent a car to explore the island, please remember that this property DOES NOT have parking.



LOCATION



Artsy Flat is located in trendy Santurce, within walking distance of restaurants, shops, art galleries, and entertainment. The beach is approximately a 10-minute drive away, and the airport is about 10 minutes away. La Placita, a popular nightlife and dining area, is also nearby.



The Condado Lagoon is approximately a 5-minute walk away, where you can rent a paddle board or enjoy the jogging trail surrounding the lagoon.



THINGS TO DO



Enjoy a beach day at Ocean Park, Isla Verde, Condado Beach, or Escambrón Beach. The apartment has beach chairs, towels, and coolers for your convenience.



Explore Santurce's vibrant street art and galleries, a neighborhood known for its colorful murals and thriving local arts scene.



Visit El Yunque Rainforest, approximately 40 minutes away.



Spend a day exploring Old San Juan, approximately a 10-minute drive away, with historic sites, restaurants, shopping, and nightlife.



Visit Distrito T-Mobile for restaurants, drinks, movies at Caribbean Cinemas, and Toro Verde Urban Park.

STARTER AMENITIES



At West Indies Vacation Rentals, we strive to provide top-notch amenities, ensuring our guests feel at home during their stay.



All properties come with freshly laundered bed linens and towels. We provide 2 bath towels per guest and 1 beach towel per guest.



We provide a set of disposable essentials to help you get your vacation started comfortably. These include:



- 1 set of hotel-size soap and shampoo (per bathroom)

- 3 garbage bags

- 1 roll of paper towels

- 2 rolls of toilet paper (per bathroom)

- 1 dish soap

- 1 dish sponge

- A small amount of laundry detergent



Please note that we do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is the guest’s responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock any additional items needed for the duration of the stay.



Most properties also include at least 2 beach chairs and an ice cooler. You may reach out to us 5 days before arrival for confirmation.





HOUSE RULES



RENTAL AGREEMENT: All bookings require a signed Short-Term Rental Agreement, which will be sent upon confirmation of your reservation. Guests must upload a valid photo ID (no selfies) that matches the name on the credit card used for the booking. The agreement must be signed within 48 hours of booking or prior to entering the property, whichever comes first. Check-in instructions will not be provided until the agreement is completed.



NO SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. A $500 smoking fee will be charged if this rule is violated.



NO PETS: While we are pet lovers, pets are not permitted at the property at any time. A $300 fine will be charged if this rule is violated, and guests may be asked to leave the property.



QUIET HOURS: Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be mindful of noise during these hours out of respect for nearby residents/neighbors.



UTILITIES (WATER & ELECTRICITY): In the event of an interruption to water or electrical service, the host is not responsible for hotel, alternate lodging, or transportation expenses. If service is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests may cancel the reservation and request a refund for unused nights only. Nights already used are non-refundable.



MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: The maximum occupancy is 6 adults/children at all times, including visitors.



OCCUPANCY ENFORCEMENT: Occupancy limits are strictly enforced. Exceeding the maximum occupancy may result in immediate cancellation of the reservation or removal from the property without refund.



TOWELS & LINENS: Towels and linens are provided for normal use only. Please do not use them for cleaning or allow them to be stained with food, grease, or other substances. Charges may apply for damaged or stained items.



TOWEL HANGING: Please do not hang towels or any other items to dry in areas visible from outside the unit. A $100 community fine may apply if this rule is violated.



SUBLETTING: Subletting or re-renting the property is not permitted.





CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT TIMES



Check-in begins at 4:00 PM, and since this is a self-check-in unit, you can arrive anytime after that.



If you’d like to check in earlier, please contact us the day before your arrival, and we’ll confirm availability. When possible, early check-in typically starts around 11:00 AM. Please note that early check-in is subject to availability and depends on our cleaning schedule.



If you need a guaranteed early check-in, you will need to book from the night prior to ensure the property is ready upon your arrival.



Check-out time is at 11:00 AM. For late check-out requests, please reach out the day before your departure, and we’ll be happy to check availability for you.





TRAVEL INSURANCE / HURRICANE SEASON



We strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance, not only during the peak months of Hurricane Season (July to October) but also throughout the year to cover unexpected events such as travel delays, pandemics, or other unforeseen issues.



Travel insurance is inexpensive and can reimburse travelers for most expenses associated with canceling travel outside of the cancellation window; however, coverage will depend on the policy purchased. Make sure to review and understand the options before purchase.
