When location is key... this charming home on Butler Street, nestled in Saugatuck's historic district, offers the best of both convenience and ambiance. Within walking distance to parks, shopping, a range of dining options, and the river, you'll find everything Saugatuck has to offer just a short stroll away. The Chain Ferry and the river are only minutes away, and you're perfectly positioned for day trips to nearby towns like Fennville, Grand Haven, South Haven, Holland, Douglas, and Zeeland. Oval Beach and Lake Michigan’s Douglas Beach are also close by.

Built in 1920 and cherished by the same family for over 60 years, this house was beautifully reimagined by its new owners in 2023. The home offers 3 inviting bedrooms, ideal for a tranquil retreat, and 3.5 bathrooms to ensure everyone’s comfort.

On the main level, you'll find a queen-size bedroom, a full bathroom with heated floors and a shower, a convenient half-bathroom, and an open-concept living area. The fully equipped kitchen, dining room, and living room create a welcoming space for indoor dining and socializing. The dining table seats six, and the kitchen island accommodates four. The kitchen is well-appointed for cooking and crafting cocktails, while the spacious living area and fireplace provide a cozy spot for relaxation on chilly days.

Upstairs, the private master suite boasts a king-size bed, a walk-in closet, and a luxurious primary bath with heated floors, a walk-in shower, and a freestanding tub. Another queen-size bedroom and a full bathroom with heated floors and a shower/tub combination are also on this level. The upper floor also features a laundry room and an office equipped with a desk, monitor, and a twin bed with a trundle for added flexibility.

We had a wonderful stay in this recently renovated property. We found it as described in the listing or better. Excellent location within an easy 10 minute walk to shops and restaurants. It was quiet, with lots of creature comforts. The kitchen was well-stocked, the WiFi was excellent, and for those that needed to work a bit, the smaller bedroom had a nice desk with large monitors. The front porch was perfect for gathering with coffee in the morning and drinks in the late afternoon. Communication with the hosts was prompt and thorough. I will stay here again.

The location is great, we did not go out back but beautifil set up. My Mom (88) and my sister so much enjoyed the house and front porch. We drank wine one the porch and then played cards and ate homemade appetizers. I could not check out upstairs because I have on an aircast on left foot, but they said it was lovely

I’m a little nervous to rate this house for fear it won’t be available to rent in the future! Clearly the nicest, cleanest house I’ve ever rented on VRBO. They really made us feel at home and like it had never been rented before. Location was perfect, communication was quick and concise and finishes were all top of the line. Wow! Perfect everything!

2 adults, 2 seniors, a 17 and 6 year old stayed for 3 nights over the 4th of July weekend. The house was PERFECT in terms of location (just a few blocks from downtown and the water), cleanliness, functionality, spaciousness, and overall charm. Great beds, shower pressure, AC, and fire pit! The office even had a pull out trundle bed for my 6 year old. Just a wonderful experience. Thank you!

Our family had a wonderful time at the Butler Manor enjoying the comfort of the home, walks down Butler St to the shops, playground, chain ferry, etc. Hosts were very responsive and the check-in/check-out process was very easy. Hope to return next year!

The (New) Gem of Saugatuck

What an amazing property! We take a trip to Saugatuck every summer and had the honor of staying here this time around and... it set a new standard. It's one of the few listings where the place is even BETTER than the photos, all the small touches and finishes are impeccable. The beds are comfortable. The space is sprawling. The yard is perfect. The location is superb, just a couple minute walk into town. We wanted for nothing and left wanting more time here. Grateful and thankful for the stay and, bonus, a great spot for those traveling with dogs!

Michigan Sisters

My sisters and I get together in a different location each year for our Sisters Weekend. Though this amazing home has been renting for a year, we all felt as if we were the first people to touch it! The owners have clearly attended to every detail from the neutral and calming color scheme carried throughout the home to the new construction finishes in this sweet vintage home. Tranquil, private gathering spaces both inside and out were perfect for us. There was ample room for five of us to enjoy long chats over morning coffee on the amazing front porch , cocktails at the fire pit, Netflix-watching on the ultra comfy extra long sofa, and the most restful sleep imaginable! Charging stations abound at every bedside. The entire home was top-notch and extremely clean, even met our very picky standards! . Everything we wanted to do in Saugatuck was within a short walk or a very brief ride in the car. This home checked all our boxes for rest, recreation and pampering ourselves. Would absolutely stay here again on a future visit.

Relaxing in Saugatuck

This home is exquisite! The home is warm and inviting, the kitchen is equipped with all of the utensils and amenities you'd expect to have at your own home. The bedrooms are nicely appointed and the beds are ever-so-comfortable. You won't want to leave! This home provides multiple outdoor sitting areas with a gorgeous firepit and eating area in the backyard to the wonderful and comfy sitting area out front. Lastly, the owners were very responsive to our questions and concerns. He quickly responded to minor questions during our stay. Book now and escape to your little slice of paradise!

Labor Day Weekend

Absolutely fantastic stay in Saugatuk. The hosts communication and attention to details were unsurpassed. Beautiful newly remodeled home inside and out in the heart of Saugatuk. The amenities are too many to list, luxury, comfort and beautiful surroundings. Loved everything!
