I chose SpringHill Suites specifically because of the amenities advertised, particularly the hot tub, gym, and outdoor fire pit. Unfortunately, my stay was less than satisfactory due to ongoing maintenance issues, and all of these amenities were unavailable during my visit.
What was most disappointing is that these amenities were a major factor in my decision to stay here, yet I was still charged full price—pricing that is competitive with, and in some cases higher than, other hotels in the area that offer similar rooms. Paying a premium for features that were not accessible does not feel fair or justified.
While the room itself was acceptable, the lack of transparency and adjustment in pricing left me feeling disappointed. If key amenities are unavailable, that should be clearly communicated in advance and reflected in the nightly rate. As it stands, the experience did not match the expectations set by the hotel’s listing.
