Lovely Suite at Lake Roberts

The Inn offers a soul-restoring escape to the magical Gila National Forest and Wilderness. Whether you're looking for a romantic get-away or a place for a family reunion or large gathering, our quaint little Inn-like motel is a lovely place to land. This little motel is a sweet little stay with only seven units total, located in close proximity to Lake Roberts.

We give our guests full privacy, but are available if needed via messaging . We do have a caretaker on the premises who can also help with any issues. Please let us know if there is anything you need or if something on the property needs our attention.

Great location in the quiet community of Lake Roberts. Walking distance from Lake Roberts General Store. Lake Roberts is just over the hill for phenomenal Bass and Trout fishing, kayaking, or canoeing.

Located in Lake Roberts, NM... this property is a central location to what the Gila has to offer. It is a wonderful stay if you're wanting to be IN the Gila National Forest. It's located:

- 55-60 minutes from Silver City (30 miles)
- 25-30 minutes from Gila Hot Springs (17 miles)
- 35-40 minutes from Gila Cliff Dwellings (22 miles)
- 25-30 minutes from Mimbres (19 miles)
- 20 minutes from The Log Cabin Restaurant (14 miles)
- less than 1 minute from Lake Roberts (it's just over the hill!!!)

In addition to your room/suite, all guests have shared access to the lit social pavilion for grilling and "hanging out" as well as the Fire Pit circle during non-wildfire season.

This comfortable room has the conveniences of a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee pot, and TV.

Our grilling/social pavilion not only gives you a great place to grill meals while staying at the motel... It also offers a nice space to meet with friends or cuddle with that special someone on the sectional sofas around a fire pit for a romantic evening.

This room does not have a kitchen, it is more typical of a regular motel room. The dining room table provides a nice place to eat or work.

Sleeping arrangements include one King bed and one Queen Sofa-bed.

The nearest large airports are El Paso TX (3-hour drive) and Tucson AZ (4-hour drive). However, there is a small airline (http://www.AdvancedAirlines.com) that flies into Grant County Airport in Silver City from Phoenix, Albuquerque, and Los Angeles at a very reasonable rate. Rental Cars are available at the Grant County Airport through Silver Car Rental at 575-574-2350 (must reserve in advance).

Grant County Airport is about 1 hour from the Lake Roberts Motel.

The motel is located on "The Trail of the Mountain Spirits Scenic Byway". If coming from Silver City, you'll take Highway 15 to Highway 35. If coming from Mimbres, you'll come in on Highway 35 passing Lake Roberts to arrive at the motel.

Please take note that this is a fairly remote location. You will need to bring food, as the nearest grocery store is almost an hour drive (Silver City). Fill your tank on the way up as there's no gas stations. The closest restaurant is about 20 minutes away (The Log Cabin).

Cell service: There is NO cell service at the motel without logging into the WiFi. So make sure you print out instructions including the WiFi information and door code. You can connect to the motel WiFi from the parking lot if necessary. There is a T-mobile tower a few miles west of the motel and T-mobile phones can get service about 2 miles west on Hwy 35.

Inclement winter weather: please note that Highway 15 and Highway 35 are not plowed on weekends and evenings. It is rare that we get enough snow to block roads, but we are in the mountains and it can certainly happen. This year we have had an unusually heavy monsoon season causing flooding in the are, which often means a snowier winter. Please watch the forecast for Lake Roberts, NM leading up to your stay.
