Sound of the River is a brand-new, spacious seven-bedroom home located right in the centre of Sneem village on the Ring of Kerry. Sleeping up to 14 guests, it is ideal for extended families or groups. The house sits alongside its sister property, Running River House, making it possible to accommodate up to 28 guests across both homes for larger gatherings.
The location is hard to beat. The village is just outside your front door, with pubs, cafés and shops all within easy walking distance. To the rear, the gardens run down towards the river and are enclosed by a secure fence. As the river is close by, young children should always be supervised when outdoors.
Sneem is approximately 20 minutes by car from Kenmare and a similar drive to the sandy beaches near Caherdaniel and Derrynane.
Downstairs features a bright, open-plan kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped with a large fridge/freezer, cooker, hob, microwave and dishwasher, along with an island unit and high stools for casual seating. The dining table comfortably seats 8–10 guests, and we will do our best to assist if additional dining arrangements are needed.
A utility room off the kitchen includes a washing machine and tumble dryer.
Patio doors open onto a private rear patio — a lovely spot to relax and enjoy the peaceful sound of the river.
The bedrooms are arranged over three floors. On the ground floor there is a king bedroom with ensuite, along with a separate guest WC. The first floor has four further bedrooms: three kings (two ensuite) and one twin room. There is also a family bathroom with a standalone bath and separate shower. The top floor is perfect for children and teenagers, with two twin bedrooms (two single beds in each) sharing a bathroom.
Free Wi-Fi is provided, and all bed linen and house towels are included. If you plan on visiting the beach, please bring your own beach towels.
Please note: pets are not permitted at this property.
