Capitol Peak Lodge is the best location if you plan to use the Snowmass Base Village amenities or ski. In the B block of Capitol Peak Lodge, which puts it in front of the ice rink. 2 min walk to Elk Gondola and a few more steps to village express or the sky cab. Snowmass Base Village is amazing if you have kids. The Collective has a ball pit on one side and arcade games / foosball / etc on the other side. The restaurant at the Limelight Hotel is convenient, tasty and reasonably priced. We went to Snowmass mall for dinner once, but why bother when there is Limelight, a crepe store and an ice cream store at your front door? The B block has the gym and hot tub.3416 faces Snowmass Base Village. Great during the day to see the village and the gondolas, loud at night if there is an event. Having a washer and dryer was critical during our ski trip. They are in the bathroom so you don't hear them running if you are in the bedroom. Close the bathroom door and you don't hear them from the comfortable Crate and Barrel pull out sofa in the living room. The king sized bed in the bedroom was not very comfortable; you can feel every movement of the other person. In this case, that other person was a three year old. Wonderful property manager, very responsive over VRBO messaging platform and text message.
