The good: The house itself is very nice and was very clean. The kitchen was new with new appliances, bathrooms were modern and clean. Living room furnishings were comfortable. Mattresses were comfortable with soft linens.The bad: The front stairs were not shoveled when we arrived which was mildly annoying. But the biggest issue is that the heat was completely off when we arrived and the house was frigid. We could not figure out why the mini splits were not working, and the management company was not helpful when I reached out. We were able to turn on the furnace and the house slowly warmed up, but it took about two hours for the house to come up to a comfortable temperature. When we finally were able to put our kids to bed after the house warmed up, we realized that one of the twin beds was completely unstable; it looked like an ikea bed that was never put together correctly. We had to remove the mattress from the bed and put it on the floor. The messaging with vacasa seemed to be a bot, and none of our complaints were met with any real response beyond “we will alert the local team”. After this experience I’m not eager to rent another vacasa managed property. Problems will come up and generally my family is not nitpicky (I’ve never written a negative review on vrbo), but the lack of helpful response or follow through from vacasa was pretty off putting.

Great house in a great location! Perfect for a family looking to get on the slopes, although we are hoping to come back in the summer as well.There was an issue with the heat, because the temp dropped very low and it was slow to warm up. But the managers were responsive and apologetic — and offered a small refund for our inconvenience. It was much appreciated! Overall a great experience. Would come again.

Beautiful home in a great location

We had a wonderful family ski vacation during our stay at this home, conveniently located to multiple ski mountains. The home was just as described and more - comfortable and welcoming with many amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed our walks on the trails behind the house, too. At the end of busy days at the mountain, it was lovely to relax by the fire. I highly recommend this home!

great family ski vacation

Wonderful long weekend ski trip to Bromley Mountain with our 3 kids, close proximity to Manchester shopping/dining, Stratton village, and can see Magic Mountain peeking through the trees in the backyard. Immaculately clean house (felt almost like a hotel!) with enough space for everyone and our ski gear, linens and toiletries provided, updated bathrooms, laundry/dryer available, wonderful gas fireplace, great kitchen so we could do breakfast and lunch at the house. Will consider coming back in the summer for some fishing in the pond and hiking!

Autumn Paradise

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at this beautiful property! The house was very clean and modern. The weather was cool and the gas fireplace was perfect. But our favorite spot had to be the beautiful deck overlooking the pond and golf holes
complete with gorgeous fall colors. We just couldn’t stop taking pictures!! Highly recommend this lovely location.

Perfect little get away

Everything in and around the home was absolutely lovely and comfortable, and the golf holes were perfect for my teen who just bought a new set of irons and needed to practice with them. My husband like the place so much that he literally didn't leave from check-in to check-out of our three night stay! It was perfect for quiet country decompression... quiet and private,, surrounded by nature, very little traffic but decent little stores and restaurants within a few mile drive, excellent TV and wifi, fantastic well-stocked kitchen, comfy beds, nicely furnished, lots of helpful and thoughtful items to improve the fun... just perfect. The only imperfect point was that about half the coffee mugs had coffee rings in them when we arrived (easily fixed, but an unfortunate oversight by the cleaning crew that otherwise did a great job), and we found dealing with the third-party rental agency to be rather impersonal (no ability for early check in even though no one had rented the place for a month) and unable to respond to our specific questions about the condition of golf course at the time we were hoping to visit (mid-spring). But booking, check in, and check out were easy, and overall, everything was perfect for us! (Only thing that would have made it more perfect would have been a hot tub!) Great property for the price!

Wonderful house!

We rented for a long weekend- 4 adults and 2 small kids- the house was perfect, even better than the pictures. It was fully equipped with sleds and snow shoes and had a decent size hill for the kids to sled and play. The kitchen was amazing if you plan to cook, fully updated with no expense spared and had every gadget you would need. Beds and baths all brand new and super clean. About 15 minutes to Stratton and 5 minutes to the grocery store with a convenient corner store about 1/2 a mile up the road. We had a great stay at this home and would highly recommend. 5 stars all the way!

Lovely Home, Great Location

A wonderful home to spend Thanksgiving weekend at. The house is centrally located to Magic, Bromley and Stratton Mountains and the house is perfectly maintained with everything you might need. The highlight of the trip was getting to play golf with the kids on the course in the backyard. The hosts were extremely proactive from the minute we booked and pleasure to communicate with. Many thanks for letting our family use your home during Thanksgiving. We hope to be back.

Perfect Getaway- Wish we'd stayed longer

This property was better than described, totally new interior with a cooks’ kitchen, new bathrooms, windows, comfy beds and a restful ambiance.The surrounding beauty of the property was lovely, a private pond, fire pit, trails and a small golf course. My husband loved being able to hit some balls and tromp around the property and I enjoyed the woods of Southern Vermont. (And it wasn’t even fall colors or ski season) At night we built a fire and enjoyed nature. We will definitely be back and we will bring friends as six could stay here very easily.
